Signatures - yay or nay?

For now, signatures (those little personal quotes you see below some people's posts) are enabled. Some people hate them, because they clutter a forum, while others think they make a forum more intimate. Others like them or hate them for other reasons. Do you like them, hate them, or not care?

i like them for the exact reason you have given. it adds personality and an additional level of customization.

i also like a lot of html tags added to the forum. to use images as links and embed youtube vids, etc.

it's one of the things that NWC is lacking, IMO.

With the restriction you have (256 characters maximum) I think it's good.

I hate it when signatures are 300% larger than the body of what people are posting.

Signatures are good provided they keep to the board rules.

I like them too, except sometimes they show a part of some posters minds that frighten me.
