Excellent, so we shall include a IP: TBA as an option, how's that?

Re: NWC contact point
I agree, it'll be much easier to have only the essentials for the calendar and storage of a template set to mandatory completion. All of the server and connection information I send out in a PM just before game, as although it doesn't change often I'd have to pay more for a static IP and even if that were so I wouldn't want to store it on site.
I'd suggest date, time, game length, product used, campaign type (which is required twice, by the way), invitation/application, and probably your character choice are the only ones that should be required. I'll PM the other things.

Re: NWC contact point
Huh? required twice? I'm not seeing it but I maybe am just missing it (been looking at these pages too long now - and I have been confused before). Got a screenie and/or URL on that?Vanya Mia wrote:... campaign type (which is required twice, by the way)...

Re: NWC contact point
You set it from the new drop down menu, and then it is possible to set it again further down in the traditional NWC fashion. The options in the drop down might need to be reviewed with that set of four tick boxes in mind?
Re: NWC contact point
Ah-ha the checkboxes! OK, the checkboxes and the dropdown are original to the NWC site's old build. The options on the drop down are not the same as the checkboxes:
CHECKBOXES OFFER:
Campaign (more than one night)?
Mature Content
Player Vs. Player (Players killing each other is allowed)
There will be NO DM's (No Dungeon Masters in Game.)
No Reviews - No reviews shall be submitted
DROPDOWN:
none
Attack/defend
Assault the DM
Campaign
Contest of Champions
Capture the Flag
Deathmatch
King of the Hill
Single Adventure
Team Deathmatch
IRC Panel
Is this the redundancy you are referring to?
Thanks again for the feedback.

Re: NWC contact point
Also, and maybe I am missing the option... but I cannot figure out how to invite players to an invitation only game.
Additionally, the "Manage My Campaign" feature seems to be missing.

Re: NWC contact point
The list of players in the upper portion of the form (your NWC Buddies list) is how you invite PLAYERS to join an invitation only game - you can use the CTRL+mouse-click to select multiple players from the list.
Manage My Campaign and all Campaign functions are offline atm - as they are closely tied into the forums, so will debut together soon, possibly in PHASE TWO of the rollout of the new neverwinterconnections.com
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR KIND ASSISTANCE IN TESTING THIS STUFF - please do keep clicking and sending feedback, this is all very very helpful.

Re: NWC contact point
That is indeed the redundancy I am referring too, GM_ODA. I don't remember choosing from a drop down before for that element of description, and it's a good idea, but yes. For me I'd have thought that Campaign there implied more than one night for the development of a story making the tick box redundant?
That box at the top of the game scheduling screen invites additional DMs only. Though I always preferred the Manage Campaign page, it was much easier to use for any number of reasons, there is another way to invite players to a scheduled game. If you look at My Scheduled Games and find yours, then in the place it's displayed there is an option to invite players. They need to be on your buddy list, but this does work.

Re: NWC contact point
The options offered in the drop down are as far as I know, original to the site. The wayback machine won't let me show an example (as you must login to schedule a game) but I do not believe we have changed the type of control (drop down list) - i will double check that in the raw code later today. I would tend to agree that it seems redundant having 'campaign' in both places, but I'm not certain how 'removing' options may impact the database... iirc we kept list order and every detail in that regard the same from old to new site.
My bad - i was confused and gave you wrong instruction on the add players. Correct instruction follows. The contents of the list box are the same as the other one for DMs (had me confused).
First, schedule the game checking the box 'invitation only'. Then navigate to the game using MY SCHEDULED GAMES - there is an option under the game listing to INVITE MORE PLAYERS.
