I think we hijacked the connection info thread.
I can hang out longer.

Re: NWN 2 - Sundays
I couldn't see anybody and Elaura was locked up so I'm calling it for the night. We'll try to pick up at the keep next time.

Hey, KF
Try using Skywing's Client Extension:
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=nw ... ail&id=231
The latest is 1.0.0.21
It fixes most transition errors, loads levels/properties quicker, and fixes numerous other networking bugs.

I know there wasn't really a problem when we started IWD, but maybe something changed. Servers often have severe problems when two players (who are behind their own/same router) log in. The computers are running the game through the same "Client Port" and the server doesn't like it. The server is brought to a crawl, then, the server will crash. The suggestion is for the players who are playing from behind the same router ensure each of their computers are using different "Client Ports". Infact, on most PWs, if players behind the same router are playing on the same client port, then the players are banned outright. Try doing the following on one of the computers:
Change the "Client Port" used by one of the machines in the nwn2player.ini (found in "Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2" by default) to something like 5121, 5122, or 5123, etc. The default port is 5120.
Since you and Elaura are behind the same router, and your player instance is basically logging into the server being run by your computer, maybe changing Elaura's "Client Port" will help out.
See you next week!

Re: NWN 2 - Sundays
Hi all. I will not be able to play tonight, due to my father-in-law's birthday and early Memorial Day BBQ. Please continue on. I may be able to join late.
