Knights of the New Republic - Tuesdays
Because of the problems with NWC, I'd like to move the rp thread here. XP is 900/1350.
Recap
Last session saw you returning to the Academy, a dead cloned copy of Luke's father, Darth Vader, in tow. After arriving there and speaking with Luke, you learned of another team that returned just before you after investigating an abandoned Imperial stockpile. It appears that someone had taken samples of Anakin Skywalker's DNA and created a clone of him. To what purpose remains a mystery, but the only known clone has been buried in the Jedi tradition. The Jedi Council, worried about a resurgence of the Sith, has tasked you with exploring the dead world of Korriban, once an ancient stronghold of the Sith. Luke has promoted you to the rank of Jedi Knight and introduced a fellow Knight who will join you in your task. The night passes slowly as you talk and prepare for the flight in the morning...

Alorian Gwendt
Alorian stood and watched the emotions play over Ash’en’s face. He wanted to comfort her, but she needed him to be strong. Treating her like a child wouldn’t help her right now. She had to become the Jedi that the Council needed her to be.
Alorian understood a bit what was troubling her. He himself felt the pull of the Dark Side. He knew it’s temptations. But unlike her, he was not quick to anger. The temptations of the Dark Side were tempered by his understanding of the Light Side and his connection to those energies. He had been in the temple since he was a youngling. He had been here so long, he knew no other life. In the early years of his time here, it was easy to be confused as to which was dark and which was light. To the uninitiated, the differences are subtle. But that’s how it stars. Just a slight difference in perception… in motivation.
He hoped she would be able to pass through the temptations. It was a hard time for a new Jedi. And this group was too new. What with the ranks of the Order in such a disarray, they were in serious need for additional initiates. He only hoped that they were not being given too much risk too quickly. Ash’en was being to show signs of wear. Master Katan was right. He would have to keep an eye on her.

Ash'en, was pissed. All her life she had been forced to make choices, not her own. She had hoped this would be different. She did not like it when her emotions got out of hand, letting the others see her cry ,out of fustration ,was not how she want to be perceived.
She sat in the common room, holding Cobry's hand, while she listened to this Alorian guy, try to tell her how she should feel. How dare he! All she wanted at this point was a good night's sleep with Cobry. It seemed she was beginning to rely on him for support more and more, as this Jedi, dark, light mess was scewing up her control.
She noticed a look of sympathy in Alorian's eyes, didn't he know that she did not want his sympathy? She just wanted to be left alone.
She stood up, still holding Cobry's hand, and proceeded to her new room, dragging him with her. Hoping he would not ask any questions. She had had enough questions for one day.

**Jims stay in the infirmary was not very pretty. He was upset because he could not attend the delivery of the Darth Vader obvious clone to Master Skywalker. After having fluids pumped into him to rehydrate and treat the weakness and nausea he suffered from the flight back to the Academy. Today they cleared him and he received the envelope with his release papers to rejoin the party as they learn a new situation has came to be and they begin to make the preparations...**

Cobry had been content to eavesdrop on the conversation. He knew how Ash'en would react: She would get emotional, and march off in a huff. He gave her hand a light squeeze, only half-listening to the conversation. When he finally felt a tug, he quietly followed to the bedroom Ash'en had apparently chosen for them, which was really what he had wanted to do any ways. Having an ally in his court, especially one as powerful and loyal as Ash'en, could only help him when ever he finally decided which force he would side with.
His mind returned briefly to his mother back at home. The same mother who had thrown him out, but he had always dutifully sent money to. Would she be proud of him now? Would she accept his money? Or would she still resent him for his long running criminal background? He didn't care, honestly. As long as she was safe and alive, he was content to let her hate him. The old crone wasn't prideful enough to refuse the money their family had desperately needed when he was thrown out, now matter how dirty.

Re: Knights of the New Republic - Tuesdays
Things were changing, big and fast. The rank of Jedi Knight. New allies. And was there something going on between Ash'en and Cobry...? Luos wasn't sure what to make of any of these items, so as usual, he'd have to stumble his way through, trying to keep up with the world around him.
He hadn't settled on an opinion of Alorian or Tiny. They both came off as purely devout Jedi, which was a change from the somewhat ambiguous alignments the others in the group seemed to have. It made him consider his own stance -- was he really a Jedi Knight? Luos never really felt in tune with the force in either direction.
Was he still just a soldier with a fancy weapon?

Make that +1350 for full party posting. I'll learn this thing called math one of these days...
Re: Knights of the New Republic - Tuesdays
The oppresive air of the tomb encloses you and threatens to suffocate you. At your feat lie the wispy remains of what look to be ancient Sith warriors. Your vision seems to be playing tricks on you as you see things out of the corners of your eyes, but when you turn your head, nothing's there. The Dark Side is palatible here, a thing you can almost reach out and grab. Barely heard voices whisper into your ears, as visions of power fill your head...
Re: Knights of the New Republic - Tuesdays
Luos was a little nervous about taking the pilot seat of the ship, but he remembered his flight training and managed a smooth journey to Korriban. On the way there, he had an interesting talk with Alorian. It was easy to see how devoted he was to the Order, and the light side, but it seemed to be the only life he ever knew -- a stark contrast to the rest of the group.
I hope they all get along...
Luos had nothing but respect for the Jedi and the training he'd received from them, but still did not see himself as a Knight. He was more comfortable in his armor than a Jedi robe.
However, now on Korriban, they were all going to be tested heavily by the darkside... perhaps more than they'd anticipated.
Is that why Master Luke sent Alorian along with us? To keep us in check...?
