Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
// I forgot to mention, work has decided to schedule training/outing for next Saturday, so unless they move the date again, I'm going to be absent. (such bullshit who schedules shit for the weekend?)
As Amathain came around on the hard wood floor he blinked blearily and was just in time to see the last of the were-beasts trailing out the door after the rest of the party. He looked around him and Shanni and Suula were laid out nearby, He grabbed his bandages and did what he could for both of them, and although Shanni came around quickly Suula didn't. He and Shanni struggled to their feet, and gathered Suula up between them. He silently prayed that there was something to be done for her.
"Lets see if there's a back way out of here" He said.

A slight modification to the above post: I didn't limbo the werebeasts out to have them chase the rest of the party; that was so I could get the three of you stabilized. We'll assume they captured the three that were inside the inn. Since Topato is out Amathain will be unconscious next week. Shanni and Suula will start as prisoners. The other four will resume right where they left off; running outside the tavern to be attacked by the "merchants" outside. I didn't note down everyone's hit points so everyone will start at full (excepting the sisters), bad guys included.

Toric bent over, hands on his knees, and panted. "Ach! Who'd known they be werebeasts! Shame 'bout the old man, though." He looked up sharply as the "merchants" from the village ran towards them, weapons raised. "'Ere we go again!" He spat on the ground and raised his weapon, waiting for the onrush.

// They cancelled the training day, so I am back in for Saturday, huzzah!
// sorry, I lost the werewhatsits in the confusion, didn't even realise you'd limboed them, thought they'd run out! OK so change that to a brief flicker of conciousness and the impression of being tied up by clawed hands. (I used my kits up after we stabilized though, not sure how you want to play that.)

Nihmri looked around the open square, her eyes wide and her right hand gripped tightly around her dagger. Her breathing was heavy and irregular, and her arms covered in the blood of friend and foe alike.
"I daresay we should have seen it coming, in retrospect," she said. "But hopefully, we'll have the chance to go over our werewolf-spotting protocols later, when there's fever fangs in our general vicinity."

There was little but darkness and memories of claws and fir. But as she awoke, it all came together in fear and hurt. All of them! The whole village! I was looking at the mercenaries, but everyone was -
She realised where she was, dropped upon a floor in a room of what she assumed was the inn. An unmade bed, well-tred floorboards, the smell of lived-in dust. A man, one of the mercenaries, grotesque and dirty, he was here too, dropping an unconscious Shanni over his shoulder onto the bed. Shanni settled with a light fwump of the mattress... and the man stood there. Staring down at her. Thinking.
And in that instant, Suula gasped, and produced a shrill shriek that startled the wolfman. She got to her feet, legs still wobbly, as the man-wolf stepped back a few paces, hands flexing. She half-leaned, half-fell against the bedpost, putting herself between him and her sister, and pointed a trembling finger, dazed and afraid. "T-touch us again and y-you will know M-misfortune!"
A curled sneer, a flash of teeth too sharp, a glint of red eyes. She was watched... and eventually, she saw the wolf-mind behind those eyes make a decision. "I know it already. And so will you."
The werewolf turned in disgust, slamming the door behind it. Suula staggered forwards and threw herself at it, slowly sliding down it, thumping upon the wood - but there was no answer, save the howling...
