Heroes of the Peloponnese Game Thread #3

Polytropos looks uneasy. "I don't know, I don't think anyone mentioned it," he says. "You'd think if it had happened in a weird way, someone would have pointed it out. He was old, really old."
He sets his face in a sudden scowl. "We can ask the satyr when we see him."

"Whatever you are planning to do is fine by me but I am going to seat a while at the village. I must have done something wrong. My left knee hurts when I run. I should be fine in a day a two. And don't go out to get killed. In the meantime I'll try not to eat and drink everything."
Andreas was happy that the trip deep the cave was over. He hoped that the Kobalos would be wise enough not to play with fire again.

Have fun guys. Spending time with family. I may pop in the OOC room to say hello. See you all next week.

Damian frowned at Andreas. "You let me know if your knee doesn't get better in a day or two, Andreas. We can't have you hobbling around everywhere." He sighed and turned to the others. "I understand. We do need to deal with that satyr and now is as good a time as any I suppose. I only hope that my spells are enough to help tip the balance in our favor because I doubt I'll be much use outside of them."

+2100xp for Damien, Leonidas, Eleni, Polytropos, and Kataramene for IC posts this week.
EDIT: And Telemachus sneaks in under the wire.

"That damned satyr has been a thorn in our sides for too long as it is. If we're lucky and we can catch him in person, we might finally end this nonsense once and for all. We've grown a lot in strength and experience since the last time we met, he might be surprised to find he's bitten off more than he can chew."

I was kindly reminded that we will go back to Hong Kong on Feb 16th. I got that mixed up thinking that I would be at home for the next game.
Andreas will be on the sideline for one more game.
Apologies for sending the wrong message earlier.

As the party set up camp, they could hear a faint scratching coming from the mouth of the cave. Tense, they all stood up and readied weapons. Damian frowned, then smiled and gestured for the others to lower their weapons. He turned back to the cave entrance as a familiar face lumbered into the light. "Aias!" he cried. "It's so good to see you again, my friend!" He ran towards Aias who stood up and gave him a bear hug. Damian buried his face in Aias' fur before turning around. "Do you see, El? I told you he would be back and as fine as new." Damian looked Aias over before returning to the camp. After the two settled in, he addressed the others over his bowl of soup. "So, now that we know that the portals here will take us in a circular direction, what's our next move? I don't think we've checked out that house near where the portal that brought us back here was. Then again, coming back here was a good idea - no worries about new guardians attacking us in our sleep nor freezing to death while we rest." He finished his bowl and ladled some more soup into it and set it front of Aias.
//Sorry to hear that, Topato. I remember those days when I wouldn't know if I was working on Saturday until close to quitting time on Friday.

"There's, uh, two ways this could go, I guess," Polytropos says, after a few moment's thought. "One, there's a way out, in which case, we just got to keep moving and looking til we find it. Or, there's no way out, in which case we've got to find that out anyway, right?"
He pats the giant bear as Aias settles in beside the group. "I s'pose there's always leaping over the side of those ravines. No-one'll expect that."
