//FYI the medallions confer:
+4 Strength
+4 Dexterity
+4 Constitution
+4 Wisdom
+4 Intelligence
+4 Charisma
+25,000 Experience points
I'm all in favour of keeping them, and with 7, there's enough for one each. If we decide to keep them we should probably work it out here rather than wasting half a session.
I think Telemachus, being the Two-handed melee guy probably needs Str more than anyone else, I don't think any of the other medallions would be particularly useful.

((I'm all for dying horribly trying to get to keep them if everyone else is.
If we try then I'm torn. Str or Con makes sense for Kat, but I think Int would then allow me to take Weapon Master levels. Happy to see what others would want.))

**around the camp fire shortly after our first meeting**
By way of introduction, I am Zokos of Melos, a priest of Poseidon. I know not how I came to be here with you in this cursed place. I can tell you of my history however, and I thank you for bringing me back among the living!
I was born and grew up in a small village on the island of Melos. I was a sailor and fisherman, like my father, and I joined the cult of Poseidon under my mother's tutelage.
Shortly after my fifteenth birthday, and with my parents blessing, I joined the crew of a trading ship owned by my uncle. I was as eager as any youth to explore over the horizon, and I wanted to find ways to please the gods, especially Poseidon.
I have spent over twenty years at sea. We visited ports from Illyria to Lydia, trading goods of value to turn a coin, but mostly I was there for the joy of living on the water and exploring the endless beauty of the oceans!
**pauses to drink from his flask of wine, and offer some around to everyone. Those who try it note that it is excellent despite being petrified for decades.**
"I will help." I said... *sighs*
...I don't regret it, but I wish I knew if Nikos made it safely back to his mother.

((Much as Eleni likes to try and be the voice of reason, she is actually quite easily swayed by promises of great arcane power, so...))
Eleni could not quite remember the last time she had been this free of worry.
This was an odd thing, when one considered the circumstances. She was, after, still trapped, likely for the foreseeable future, in one of the darkest pits of the underworld. But they had done it. They had found a path through the darkness, and a primal goddess had fallen before them. If that wasn't something to celebrate, she wasn't sure what was.
So she drank eagerly of the wine Zokos passed around, and smiled as she listened to him reminisce about his travels, though she knew the recollection must be bittersweet.
"I can't imagine how it must feel, to wake up one day and learn the world has gone on without you," she said, thoughtfully. "I hope you can learn what happened to your loved ones, Zokos. We might be able to help with that. After, of course, we find some way out of this place..."

// So what are we looking at so far?
+4 Strength - Telemachus
+4 Dexterity -
+4 Constitution -
+4 Wisdom -
+4 Intelligence - Kat? I think int is less in demand than the others, might work best.
+4 Charisma -Eleni
+25,000 Experience points - Maybe Zokos would be best here as he's a level behind everyone?
IC:
"Well that was almost anticlimactic" Said Tel. "Sure killing her wasn't easy, but it seemed like we've hardly been here for that long... Maybe it's because I spent a lot of time lost and then as a statue... Ah well it's one for the legends in any event! Killing a goddess is pretty high up there! In fact I can't think of any other stories where someone kills a deity.. Huh.. You know what maybe there's a reason for that? might not be the sort of news that immortals like getting around"

(OOC: Happy to take the Dex, Con, Int or XP tokens. XP is Best P.))

"Most people's lives don't change all that much, Eleni," Polytropos says, wearing his 'philosophical' face while looking between her and Zokos. "People settle down and don't move for years, or if there's change, it happens slow. For people like that, missing a handful of years would come as a shock."
"But not for people like us. Right?" He shrugs and smiles, looking at Kataramene at his side, half-hugging her with the arm around her waist. "For us life is all about going to new places and seeing things we didn't expect to see. All those different, strange lands we've been to really tell a person that the world's always going on without them in a hundred different places... and hey, what's the future, but another strange land?"
He salutes the priest with a smile. "I think it'll be fine. I mean, assuming we ever get out of here. And if we don't, uh..." his smile turns sheepish, with a touch of a grimace - but it's still there. "Well, why worry?"

Reason: Str is his prime attribute and at this lvl unadjusted attacks (considered +3 vs DR) are at +12/+9/+6/+3 and +10/+7/+4/+1/+10 with flurry of blow for d20 damages. The more Str, the higher the adjusted BAB and more attacks will land for d20 damages plus any Str bonus.
Tel must have a BAB of 16 or 17 and 4 attacks per round. Damages would be like d12 + 1.5 x Str Bonus.
Hm...

"A priest of Poseidon, here in hell. I would have expected that. WEll met, I suppose. I am sorry but for a moment I had somehow forgotten where we were, I must have received a hard blow on the head. Now, are we going to return that belt or what"

Andreas will be able to make much better use of Dex or Wis as well though, what with monk abillities and dex armour bonuses. Monks can get some nice stuff with high wis, and there's not much competition for that stat. None of the other stats are much use to Tel. You'd be better off using enchanted gloves to increase your attack bonus.
