We can set up a time to try it out between now and then, if you like, so you know it'll work rather than just hoping it works one Saturday. If not then either someone else can try taking it on, or I could also try leaving the server running, but there's no guarantee it will remain functioning with the later but as I only leave on the first Saturday morning it should be good that day.

Tell me about it! Tempted not to let you have the Vault back, as my misery loves company while I'm away.

My father used to say, "Fair weather is a good time to check the rigging." It seems even the Gods have troubles that need attention. The weather may be fair today, but I feel that we have a long and stormy voyage ahead of us.

It can never be underestimated how victory can feel in the face of defeat. To come through a situation where there seemed no apparent winning direction to see that chink of light, for it to be forced it wider, and to step through into the brightness of the future. Oh so very bright, this time. The home of the gods, no less.
But nothing ever matches that sense of defeat though victorious. For sudden hope to be found false. What was held in your hand crumble. To find that something you hold dear, value beyond price for what it provides, could be snatched away in an instant. That what you had given would be meaningless, and what you were further prepared to offer had no worth.
And there as nothing, absolutely nothing, you could do to prevent it.
Fists clenched, silent, Kataramene stared off into the distance. There could still be a reckoning.

"Of course the gods have troubles that need tending to," Eleni said, a note of bitterness in her voice. "And somehow, it has become our lot to tend to them. I'm not sure if we should feel like champions or... something rather less flattering."
The sorceress sighed. The reward for a job well done was more work, it seemed.
"I do wonder just what, exactly, it was that freed Eris' children. The gods have been vague on that count, thus far. And perhaps more importantly, I wonder how long it will take for Chaos herself to intervene..."

"Will you stop looking like you've been sentenced to death already? The gods themselves have spoken to us! They've offered us their guidance and even their help, and have entrusted us with a task of the greatest importance to the entire world. We haven't been cursed, we've been blessed! If we're successful our names and deeds will live forever!"

So this was Olympus? Leonaidas was a bit underwhelmed, there was no army of beautiful maidens to wait on visiting heroes, or maybe they were just for demi-god heroes like Herekles? In any case, he wasn't all that happy with the idea of tracking down the wayward children of their former patron, whom he'd actually rather liked. He doubted she'd be amused if any of her brood came to harm, but then maybe she viewed it all as a great game? He wondered why the gods simply didn't do the job themselves; he was beginning to think they were just a bunch of lazy louts who used their powers to get, or force, others to do their dirty work and clean up their messes. Well, it would make for some exciting tales, if nothing else.

Polytropos looks somewhat ashamed, aware he's done something wrong but uncertain, in his own slightly dumb way, of what to do to fix it. The expression on Kataramene's face is all that it takes to send visible pangs of guilt behind his eyes. He nervously approaches Kataramene, with the air of a man approaching a steep cliff-edge.
"Um... sorry," he ventures, mumbling. "Don't know what came over me. I didn't mean it."
He swallows, aware this isn't working.
"Here," he tries, offering her Aphrodite's necklace. "Maybe... maybe you could hang onto this instead?"

Regarding the forge:
Completing the god-quests will grant Enhancement Crystals, which do not require a skill roll. There are three possible ones you can get from each quest: +1, +2, or +3 (which one you earn depends on how well you interact with the gods). There are four such quests in all in Olympus (though you've already chosen a different path via Aphrodite, so three left). It is possible to fail a god-quest.
The crystals can empower a single melee weapon each and are used up in the process. The bonus stacks (so a +3 crystal used on a +3 weapon will result in a new +6 bonus).
Each character will be able to use the forge again once, so consider which weapons you wish to empower.
