Topato wrote://Give me a list of ports you need open and I'll get it done.
NWN requires the following ports to be opened and forwarded to the IP where the server is running:

5120-5300,6500,6667,27900,28900. NWN uses UDP for its connections.

The server settings are

Difficulty: D&D Hardcore Rules
Autosave Interval: 30 minutes
Levels: 1-30
Number of Players: 9
Module Name: Ancient Greece v51d (I can send you a link to DL the mod from Vanya Mia's Box account. It's a 2.6mb file compressed)
PVP setting: Full
All checkboxes off except "Post to Internet". Note that the Server Vault (containing our characters) will need to be transferred from VM to the server.
Player password: our usual
DM password: can be anything, but be sure to send it to me and Felrisen!
Server Admin password: blank

We still have a few weeks before VM goes on vacation so we can do a test run if necessary. If it doesn't work out then VM's vacation will be out summer hiatus, that is the host's privilege (I certainly appreciate VM going through all the hassle of running the server for us!).

"Leonidas, do you like your new bow?" asked Andreas. Once more they were sent to fix something. This time though it was back on old Greece. A number of people, villagers, soldiers had been turned into mindless slaves hammering rocks except for those who had been turned into slave masters. To remove the curse they had to dispose of the culprit which was done but not without killing some people trying to stop the heroes. Andreas was not happy about that but it was like at war or in the arena where you are forced to kill good people if you cannot get them to flee or surrender. Every warrior knew that most of the time it was better to kill than be killed...

It felt strange to be back in Greece. Eleni had almost forgotten what it was like to walk in places actually meant for mortals.

It had not, she supposed, been all that long since they had departed for Tartarus. But it felt like years, and she found it hard to look at things through the same eyes as before. Her master had always told her that the places you pass along your journey have a way of changing you, and she had journeyed through some very strange places indeed.

"I'm getting the hang of it, but will keep my old one as Apollos gift always turns arrows to flames, and I'm sure we'll meet some creatures that aren't bothered by those at all, if past missions are anything to go on. That aside, it's got a lot more punch to it." He wondered what sorts they would run into on this next quest.

A quiet spot, away from the camp sight and sheltered from view, but with the light of the flames visible. The closeness of an embrace enough warmth on a sultry Grecian night. The woman stirs and murmurs.

"Forgetfulness worries me. If we forget we lose so much, almost all, and I don't want that." She looks into the eyes of the young man close to her. "What if we do it now? It's hard to see why we are waiting, the traditional ceremonies hardly apply to our circumstance and if we are able to return then I'm sure celebrations could be made anyway." She gestured upwards. "We could ask for it to be witnessed in some way. Aphrodite was not interested in hearing me, but perhaps another would? If not a god then their priesthood?"

She looked away again, eyes focused on the distance. Perhaps in thought, perhaps not wanting to wait on an answer. "There's so much I don't know about who I am, I don't want to lose that which I have been given."

I had a dream that I was standing at the helm of a great ship, larger than any ship I've ever imagined, with dozens of masts and countless sails. Hundreds of men and women teamed on the deck and tended the rigging, and I looked out as we rushed forward over crystal clear waters teaming with life. The day was an impossibly perfect blue, there was no land in sight, and the sun was rising behind us.

Poseidon stood on the deck next to me as it seemed he should, and when I looked at him he said, "Where do you steer?"

"I will steer where my lord, Poseidon, commands." I said.

At this he frowned slightly and turned from me to slowly survey the horizon from one side of the ship to the other. The crew continued their duties around and above us, seemingly oblivious to the uncertainty about which direction to send our mighty vessel.

Poseidon looked down at me. "We tried that once. We tried to steer for you." His frown faded but his eyes narrowed slightly, "It did not work, not in the way you would think. You are at the helm and you must steer or the ship will founder."

I turned to survey the known world and felt like I could see forever! Flying fish and porpoises danced over our wake, the wind had picked up just enough to cause the slightest of white caps on the small waves, and the sun behind me seemed to perceptibly continue it's ascent into the sapphire vault of the sky.

I then noticed a slight darkness on the horizon ahead and to port, as if storm clouds or an island were just over the lip of the world. I pushed the massive rudder to turn us in that direction and shouted to the crew to extend the sails for running, wing and wing. The ship surged forward like a living thing, with such speed that even the small waves made the hull thrum with their energy as they rapidly struck the prow!

Poseidon smiled.

"We're lucky to be back in Greece and not a thousand miles away and a thousand years in the future or the past. Every time we go somewhere like that I keep expecting to come back to crumbled ruins or empty fields, as if we'd slept for centuries."

// I'll try and get the ports set up. The config files can all be done via remote access with filezilla. As it stands I've just got a completely vanilla nwn1 installed on the remote machine, it'll need all the haks etc, right? Is there a zip of them around somewhere?

"Forgetfulness? No. No. I won't fear it." Polytropos stroked her shoulder, hugged Kataramene close. "Forget who you are? Easier to forget how to breathe... all our lives, all our feelings, gone? No. There's no god or godchild so powerful." He nods, firmly... speaking the words half as a reassurance... half as a challenge. But he looks to her, serious now. "But if asking that of the Gods is what you want... I'd do it."

He smirked a little. "Who else could say they'd been married on Olympus?"

Per our discussion in-game, here is the list of haks that are used in the module. I am including the Vault links since you said you had a workaround to access the Vault site. I have included the full names of the files and their creators in case the links don't work.

Topato, if you still can't access them online let me know and I'll zip up my copies and upload them to the Box account.

My custom top-level hak is still available at here: https://www.box.com/s/rlcqj6l2na9hr9jty5b6. I just checked the link the other day and it still works.
CEP 2.3 (http://nwncep.forumotion.com/)

Lok Dungeon by Danmar (http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... 98&id=1580)
Rocky Mountains 1.02 by Bloodmonkey (http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=3936)

Also, I believe the server will need the SoU and HotU expansions installed but I'm not certain about that.
