Eleni smiled. "An army of brigands does seem somewhat plain after an army of otherworldly beastmen and their demon-god, no? But I suppose we should be wary of hubris, nevertheless. Most of this Draco's men are probably just cutthroats and bandits, but there are bound to be a few veterans among them - along, perhaps, with a few peculiar types who have attached themselves to this want-to-be-warlord. We shall have to make sure we know what we face."

OOC

Always nice to have a post game chat and a cold beer or something in the OOC room.

IC

The heroes ventured beyond the forest and in the mountain to find the source of the curse. The mountain spirit told them that someone would have to make things right. So they did fighting "the elements" in the process. What else was new. Andreas was now used to that life. Going in unexpected places and fighting strange creatures. Before going back, having returned the mountain to normal the friends had to decide the fate of a man. It was quite a dilemma but at the end he was set free. On the way home and old friend showed up, it was Telemerion. What was the tiny creature up to this time? Andreas listened to the story with interest, they would have to go to the Fey world, find an ogre, defeat him and return with the prize. Sounded simple enough.

"We can't go home, eat some, drink some wine, take a bath before we go? So be it, let us all jump in that portal and see the fey land and the ogre."

Listening intently she was sure of it, someone was following them, shadowing them to the side as they walked through the woods. Kataramene's head stayed rigidly ahead but she dropped back slightly. "Keep going," she called forward in a stage whisper, "I'm going to check out what's following us. When you hear me attack, come in as support."

Without waiting for acknowledgement she dropped further back and first moved to the flank away from the shadowing creature. The warrior then swung around, intending to out-flank whatever it was and surprise them. In a probably not-so-silent manner she then crept forward, gaining ground, and as soon as she was certain she had their stalker in her path she readied herself for the attack some way back to retain the element of surprise. Springing forward, sword raised, she confronted....

... a goat. Quite probably one belonging to the poor dead villagers, as it seemed completely unimpressed by her sudden appearance. She sighed and sheathed her sword as it regarded her obliquely. "It's all right, there's no need to panic, though I might have found supper," she called out, and looked up in the direction of the rest of the group. "Can anyo ...."

There was no sign of support force, rushing to join the fight. There wasn't even any sign of them standing around giggling at the goat. There was, in fact, no sign of them at all.

The young woman's face clouded with an expression like thunder and her lips set in an annoyed pout as she stood, fists on hips. "For the love of the Gods, not again! I'm gonna ...." Then she paused, realising her position once more. "Hey, where are you?" she called, and rushed off what she hoped was the right direction.

The party completed its quest and was about to step through a portal into the Fey Realm when we ended the last session. Kataramene will catch up to the party at that point next session.

Damian looked at Andreas levelly. "One does not simply jump into a fey portal, Andreas. Well, you might, but that doesn't make it a good idea." He stared at the portal. "I know little of the fey realms, but I do know that we should proceed with caution. Do not mistake size for ability, for even the smallest can cause us great difficultly. Just look at our 'friend' Telemerion. Though small, he's proven to be quite the annoyance." He held up a finger, "Also, do not eat or drink anything from the realm. Legends say that any who do never come back, but since any who did never did, it could just be hogwash. Still, it's better safe than sorry." He rubbed his chin, "I would also counsel against entering into any deals or wagers with any of the fey folk. Sure some have their honor, but we can't understand it and it would be best to avoid that all-together."

He stopped and looked around. "Has anybody seen Kataramene?"

"Isn't the entire point of us going there to win something in a wager? Speaking of which, have we even decided what we might bet yet? Something tells me they wont just want gold."

"We have several artefacts I suppose we could part with," Eleni suggested. "Not that I expect we shall lose, of course! The ogre will probably have the advantage of size, but I suspect Andreas will be far too slippery for him."
