Re: The Dragon's Village 2017
I think it's that same tile that has given you problems in the past. You must have a buggered NWN install.
Re: The Dragon's Village 2017
I guess I can try reinstalling
Re: The Dragon's Village 2017
Are you still lurking, karvon? I can initiate a server reset if you're still around. The party came very close to a TPK but I gave them a break due to your issue.
Re: The Dragon's Village 2017
Since we're close to the end of the session, let's just have you rejoin next time.
Re: The Dragon's Village 2017
Well, I did a full reinstall and downloaded and ran the critical rebuild recommended for the GOG version and had the same problem.
The only other thing I can think of is maybe a CEP issue? I think I have 2.6 installed and though it's supposed to be backward compatible with earlier versions, perhaps the source of the problem?

Re: The Dragon's Village 2017
There's something in your install that is different; that one tile is glitched somehow for you. Could be a driver issue as well.
That interior area is from a regular NWN tileset (Ruins, I think?) and nobody else has an issue with it. I don't even have the CEP tilesets installed in the module, just the other haks.
Well, let's just keep it in mind, I don't think that tile comes up often in this campaign and we can have your character remain outside if there are any more huts to explore in the future.

((I've got 2.6 loaded too and was fine, plus LB is right it's a standard tile. To be honest I would suspect a graphics glitch with one of the texture files in that particular tile. One not be used anywhere else, or one that is replaced by CEP. You could try local testing in a mod without CEP in and see if you can get a character into an area with that particular tile? We would know then. It might be possible to ID it then and set up an alternative for your override. That's not a quick task though. :S ))

"It's sproingy!" Under the tolerant but potentially long suffering gaze of Master, Moriko bounced along pulling back the bow given by the wemic craftsman.
"Which is better than just springy," she explained, letting bow string go again. "Sticks are springy but this is sproingy, like a small branch. If a stick springs at you it stings but if a branch sproings at you it really hurts. You can tell from the way it sings!" Moriko danced over close to Ning and drawing the bow once more she held it for a moment near her ear and let it go.
"See?! You can hear the sproing in its song so the air gets out of the way!"

The group headed into the woods in search of the troublesome beastmen. Gojiro scouted out on one flank and noted a number large angry looking guards on the far side of a ravine. Making his way back to the others, he found them on the edge of a beastmen encampment and discussing the situation. Apparently, they had been driven from their home by some snake people, so the party offered to look into clearing these out so they could return. This led to hostile encounters with the guards he previously spotted and the group managed to defeat these with a bit of effort. Scrounging thru the bodies, Gojiro salvaged a fairly serviceable shield and passed off his old one the party's lone swordsman. Driving deeper into the woods, they came to a cavern complex, defended by more of these boar and hawk beastmen. They proved very challenging foes, but were eventually dispatched. Then snakes and snakemen were encountered and dealt with. Finally, a snakewoman was battled and chased into a hut. Gojiro paused to search bodies and picked up a few useful weapons and fell behind the rest of the team. As he moved forward he heard a lot shouts and screams and then silence. He slid into the shadows and waited.
