Sorry to have missed the boat this week but at least I did not roll a "1".

Fel, I wish you the best. I think I know too well what you are facing now. I hope that things will turn out ok.

As I mentioned last week. I will be out today maybe cleaning up our messy lab. I will be back next week.

Enjoy the game.

Fast was wandering around the new base thinking about what he had gained and what he had lost after the implementation of protocol 66. The place was a mess and needed fixing. After getting the parts from the human base they had resumed research but in a way far less effective than before. The clones were having a hard time adjusting. The made up lab was deserted half the time and when work was done it was slow and clumsy. Perhaps, it was a normal adjustment process and there was no reason to worry. Besides, worry was a human emotion not something clones should have to experience or deal with.

There is a slight chance that I may have to work again during the next week-end. I will keep you posted.

Strong returned to the lab after an extended rest period in which he licked his wounds. He looked around and mentally frowned. "I know I can make this lab better," he told himself. He started grabbing tools and went back to work.

There is a good chance (say 80%) that I will be back on time for the game this Saturday.

The Quiet One was focused, "We must complete our research on the Cyberdisks and then secure our defenses, we would be in a very difficult situation if either the Humans or the Masters discovered our new base." It returned to it's part of the research project, documenting the correct electrical energy to stimulate the nervous system of the tiny earthlings spread across it's workbench.

"Yes, yes," Nimble agreed with a vigorous nod of the head to accompany the mental connection. "Not want big hairy things lying on vents. Might make circulation bad and cause 'splosion. Also female type humanz in paper data sheet have no clothes on but lie on one."

The clone paused a moment. "Not think humanz warm enough to be without clothes outside, but might come hunt hairy thing so can lie on where warmer."

It paused again. "Maybe they find vents and want to lie on them too, if not have clothes." It nodded and went back to working on something that was far easier to understand. "Lot's reasons to stop vents making air hot."

Week 20

Project: Cyberdisc Command Integration (50RP)

Research Points (RP) Needed: 12

Project Leader: The Quiet One: Craft Mechanical 13, ROLL 13, Result 26
Project Support (all roll vs. DC20 to add +2, DC25 to add +3, DC30 to add +4, non-core skills subtract 1 from the bonus):
The Strong One: Craft Structural 11, ROLL 19, Result 30 (+4 RP)
The Fast One: Craft Mechanical 12, ROLL 9, Result 21 (+2 RP)
The Nimble One, Craft Mechanical 12, ROLL 13, Result 25 (+3 RP)

Research Earned: 10 (base) + 26 (project leader) + 9 (support) = 45 points

Cyberdisc Command Integration earned! Grants a Cyberdisc henchman to the party. +400xp for completing a Tier 4 project.

33 RP earned toward Improved Laboratory 2 (60 RP). Allows work on two research projects at once. The secondary project only advances at half the rate as the primary project (all rolls are rounded down).

* * *

The clones focus on mechanisms this week, gathering tools and improving the workings of the lab under the old human base. The repair of the old damaged cyberdisc seems almost an afterthought, but soon the floating disk is following around members of the group, requesting orders. The timing ends up being good, for soon Caladaris returns with news that he has deciphered the stealth ship's computer core and has identified a harvester ship that will be landing on this continental mass shortly. There is no indication yet that the Masters are aware that their intelligence network has been compromised, but you've learned not to assume anything when going into action.
