It had sounded like a simple task. Help Old Man Bob with a bit of scavenging. Turns out that wasn’t as simple as it sounded. Or as quick as he thought it would be. And man, was he not the best conversationalist. At least the youngin’s made amusing comments, but the Old Man just gave his off setting laugh no matter how bad the joke or reference was... Kinda made it almost pointless.

It was a God send to be told by the Boss Lady to meet up with the others for some mission in town about finding some doctor. Which essentially meant he had to find the group wandering around the town somehow. I mean how did she expect him to- oh, there they were. That was pretty easy.

((I guess a Survival Roll for scavenging with Old Bob? No idea in modifier))

Session 6

+300xp for everyone for IC posting.

As noted above we'll have Henderson join in at the start of the next session. I'll brief Klasa in-game about what Angela asked him to do in town. I'll also handle the skill rolls at the start of the session.

What. A. Fucking. Day.

They went from trying to negotiate with gang for the doctor to heisting some shitty old world guns to running from ADVENT to kidnapping- or rescuing, the nomenclature was open to debate- the doctor's daughter from her brainwashing school prison. Man, when Daud said all that in his head, it kind of did sound like they were terrorists like the girl thought. Only for a second though. Daud knew who the invaders were, even if the children didn't.

Still, when ADVENT showed up had to have been one of the most harrowing events of his short career as a freedom fighter thus far. He had been about to panic when he remembered the smoke grenade on his belt. Part of him doubted he would ever use it. A smoke grenade, he'd thought dismissively at the time, Yeah, I'll just save this for when I have to make a cool ninja exit. Only that's kind of what they did, he realized when he had time to think about it. He kind of felt like a badass after the fact. He was actually dismayed he didn't have any more smoke grenades now.

Bo grumbled under her breath sorting out the meagre resources at her disposal. All they'd brought back from the contact with the gang were a small first aid kit, the contents of which were functional if you didn't mind the expiry dates on the dressings, and a single vial of antibiotics. She added these to the supplies arrayed in front of her and sighed.

They'd finally tested the tablets, Victor had looked to be bleeding out and consented to taking one, and the results had been remarkable. Cellular regeneration had taken place at a remarkable rate although to a limited level, so she had pressed them on others at need. Unfortunately that meant they now had a little over half their original supply left. She might be able to combine the drugs within the kits to assemble a more effective one but there was a risk they would be rendered ineffective. Bo sighed and split them up across three again, if she was hurt someone might need to help her.

The only positive was they had rescued the doctor and his little girl. The negative was the refugees who lost their lives directly as a result of their actions. Her face grew grim and she pushed down the images of the sight. Worse still was the knowledge that she had run. It was the practical thing to do, she'd no doubt the Advent bastards would have either shot her down or taken her into custody, but still - the memory was not going away soon.

Time to make sure their greatest asset would survive and recover as soon as possible. She looked at the tablets but set them to one side as a last resort. Old school it was.

((Treat Injury roll of I think +9 to get the doctor helping as soon as possible.))

New Story. Old Guns.

JD was wandering if it was possible to erase a person's memory and if so could it be selective somehow? He could not understand why he was able to remember food and some of the popular culture stuff like music and movies but not who he was and where he was from.

The mission went bad. They struggled a bit to enter the places where the weapons were. Had to kill some fellows. Found some old guns. No ammo. ADVENT showed up and the team had to run. Later in the slums ADVENT showed up again and sort of killed everyone. We got out alive with the guns and the doc. One ADVENT went down. Not sure how. If only we could have grabbed his weapon.

Things were going fairly well, all things considered, Henderson thought. They were growing more used to each other and working better with each other, although they still needed some work. Only question was how long they would continue to keep their luck he supposed. They tangled with ADVENT twice and yet suffered no casualties, at least themselves. The refugees and wannabe mobsters suffered a lot of losses to ADVENT, which they had unwittingly brought to their doorsteps. But then, this was war and they all knew that, or should have by now.

Today though, he was back scrounging through their stockpiles of random assorted junk. Judging from the last mission, hopping fences and climbing over walls was evidently not something these youngins' or the doc was good at, so some rope, portable ladders, grappling hooks, or anything somewhat like them he could find would be a definite help he wagered.

((Searching for above mentioned stuff and also hoping to make the equivalent of a climbing kit. Unsure what roll you would like for it, but his Survival is a +8 or 9 I believe.))

His mouth still tasted weirdly of tin, but the pill had done its work. The real fright had been anxiously waiting for a fresh round of drop troops to come buzzing over the area and busting through the cave. With only two exits, and only one of them with an escape vehicle, getting out of the base was a risky proposition at best. Still... so far, so good. And there was no reason for ADVENT to hang back now, so...

"I guess this is a wake-up call," said Victor to whoever was near while he played with Max with one hand, and looked over the footage on his camera - of the slum-camp as they first arrived, and the sudden ADVENT assault on it. "They're damn patient, they are. Hopefully they think they burned us all out but I ain't even sure if they think that way. Need to be... more careful. It's not just us out there."

Stanley had stayed with the car during the raid. He was the getaway driver. The fact was, he really wasn't a very good driver, it seems nobody else wanted the job. They hadn't left him with one of the walkie talkies, so he had no idea on how things were progressing once they left the car. He knew things were bad though, when he saw the Advent shuttle land and several Advent soldiers get out. They had destroyed the refugee camp and seemed to have slaughtered most of the people. He kept his head down and stayed with the car hoping the others would show up. Shortly thereafter they did, screaming at him to get the hell out of there, which he did. They managed to avoid any pursuit and got back to the base.

Later, he lent a hand repairing the assorted guns they had gotten. Most of them were in pretty sorry shape, but it looks like they should be able to salvage a few usable weapons from the various pieces.
