CEP2.1

Profiles:

Player: Arek32
Name:Wu Liu
Age:18
Race:Human
Gender:Male
Class/es:Wu Jen(Wizard) Fire Specialised
Alignment:Chaotic Neutral
Special weapon: Tetsubo
Appearance: Young fellow with an air of pride and strong emotions around him, his hair is dyed bright red. You can easily see he acts very strongly - he cares for his friends, but he hates with true passion. He never eats meat.

History:
Wu Liu was born as simple Wu, in poor peasant's family of Dragon's Village. However, his destiny was not to be one of peasants, for Wu was near death on his birth. However, a powerful Wu Jen was passing nearby the day of his birth, and the mother promised in despair anything he'd like for saving her child. Old man did so, and he said that he wants to take the kid with him. Wu was taken away with the old man far to the west, where he grew up, in company of acolytes of the old man. When he grew up, he was also taught magics...and on the day of his 15 birthday old man took him to his chamber, and spoke with him for long time. He explained why he took him away from his family, and taught him all the magics - for he saw in Wu descendant of the same lineage Wu Jen came - the guardians of Dragon's Claw, powerful amulet, which powers were too powerful to be controled by any mortal, and could only cause grief and pain if used. Then, old Wu Jen gave Wu the amulet - a simple one, made out of copper, yet Wu could sense the power inside...Old man spoke new name of Wu - Wu Liu - Guardian of the Dragon. Needless to say, old man ordered Wu to leave the place he lived all his life, for he has foreseen that if amulet will stay here any longer, something terrible is about to happen. So, Wu unhappily took his "birthright", and left out to gather some experience needed to protect his burden.

Note about amulet: It is a simple amulet resembling a chinese dragon, made out of copper. It shows no signs of magic powers, even in hands of another magic user. Only descendants of ancient Liu line can sense the smallest tingle of power inside the amulet.

Oh right - he has a taboo never to eat meat.

Player: Ayram
Name:Sanosuke Shino
Age:28
Race:Half elf
Gender:Male
Class/es:Fighter - Weapon Master
Alignment: Lawful Good
Special Weapon: Nodachi ( Name is "Ideal" )
Appearance: Taller than most, but is more lean than muscled, which might seem odd since he carries a dai katana, although he seems to carry the weapon with little effort. He wears a perpetual smile, but the most noticeable thing about him is his shocking white hair, which fits not at all with his youthful face.

Bio: Sanosuke was a higher ranking officer (as high as one not of noble birth can achieve anyway) in his lord's army. He was a pretty popular man among the men and the people associated with his lord. Despite not being a noble, he was something of a favorite to his lord, and there was a rumor that he was to be promoted further, which was something almost unheard of given his birth. The Lord's General didn't like Sanosuke and already felt threatened by his quickly growing rank, but the rumor was the last straw for him. With the help of other like minded nobles, the general arranged for some of the lords stolen money to be planted in Sanosuke's quarters. Long story short, the framed Sanosuke had to flee for his life, disgraced. He came to the Dragon Village, finally losing his pursuers. There he began to think of how he could restore his good name and possibly bring justice to who wronged him.

Player: Raganui
Name: Dai Yamada
Age: 21
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Class/es: Rogue - Shadow Dancer
Alignment: LN
Special weapon: Ninja-to.
Appearance: Thin and a little shorter than most, he normally keeps his face hidden by the mask of his Ninja outfit when on the job. Under it he has dark hair. He has unremarkable brown eyes, normally kept half closed when out of his ninja clothing.

Bio: A man taken from a noodle shop owner at the age of 2, to pay for taxes and to show loyalty tot he local lord. He was forced into the soldier training at first, while still young, but his constant shirking of training to sneak off and his hiding from the men after him soon caught the eye of the lord's ninja, taking him under their wing, which greatly appealed more to the young boy at the time than a life as a soldier. Stealth, speed, and where vitals were and how to hit them from a silent position in which to attempt to kill the enemy quickly were all drilled into his brain.

However, as small lords tend to do, his was conquered by a larger. He is now the equivalent to a ronin if one were to use samurai standards, and has been doing odd jobs to make money and stay alive.

Player: Klasa
Name: Sima Ying
Race: Human
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Class: Fighter / Weapon Master
Special Weapon: Katana
Bio: Sima Ying was at one point in his life a Samurai, though unfortunately that part of his life didn't last long. He had been training in the arts of swordsmanship since he was but a young boy, and it was like a dream come true when he was made into a full fledged samurai at the age of 24. However, he only held that rank for about a week before he was forced to lose it.

Sima Ying's Lord was not the most well known or powerful of Lords, but he wasn't unknown or weak either. Sima Ying's first task was to be a simple one. He was to accompany his Lord with a group of experienced samurai on a short trip from one providence to a border providence, but things did not go well. They were attacked by a group of bandits, and these bandits surprisingly killed all of the experienced samurai with few wounds and only a single loss of their own men. Sima Ying himself couldn't even land a single blow on his opponent, and was easily defeated by the bandit. However, instead of killing him like the others, they merely restrained him and made him watch as they killed his Lord. The leader of the bandits then walked up to Sima Ying and whispered something into his ear before Sima Ying was knocked unconscious.

"It's your lucky day, since we don't kill those who are weak or can't even use a sword, and you fit both of those perfectly..." Those were the words the bandit had whispered to Sima Ying, and ever since that day he has been wondering the lands as a ronin, refusing to commit seppuku until he had regained his honor and defeated the bandit who killed his lord.

Player: Gulfwulf
Name: Gao Kuo
Race: Human
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Class: Cleric (Order of the Eternal Earth)
Special Weapon: Staff (dark)
Bio: Gao Kuo has been at the Monastary for as long as he can remember. He looks up to Abbot Shen as a father figure and Ai Cheng as a uncle and mentor. The two shared many a conversation until the former undertook a vow after he achieved enlightenment during his studies of the Blinding Fist. Gao was prone to taking long walks in the Wood of Secrets surrounding the monastary and quickly befriended the Wemics that lived there. After helping them defend their village against a Gnoll attack, the Wemics gifted Gao with a staff made from oak. To this day, the staff never leaves his side. Some of the students at the Monastary whisper that it talks to him, but Gao has never confirmed nor denied that rumor. But few would doubt his ability with it.

Player: VanyaMia
Name: Zheng Yi
Race: Human
Age: unknown
Gender: Female
Class: Bard/RDD
Special Weapon: Wakizashi
Bio: In their family, there was ever one son born to follow the call. Gifted with abilities beyond the average, it was a time honoured tradition maintained down the ages, that this son would pursue the Path of the Dragon in search of its Secret. Each son would leave in search of the Secret, and the sword of their ancestors would go with them, handed down from father to son. They would return in five years with what they had learned, and keep their part of the Secret. Each son would pass to the new generation as much of the secret as would known and teach his son the all they needed. But to Zheng Po's great sorrow he had no sons.

Seven daughters his adored wife bore him, and he hid the sorrow from her until the day she left the mortal world. Six daughters who were a credit to him in every way, grew and to adulthood and made him proud. Still it was the last, the youngest, and the one who reminded him most of her mother, of whom he was fondest. Yi she was named by her mother, 'High Spirit', a laughing and lively child from the day she was born. She learned to sing, and dance, delighting all who listened. As she grew Zheng Po realised something unknown in any generation before, Yi had been born with the Gift.

Far from the warrior-like ways of her male ancestors, it came out in the sound of her voice and the healing talent in her hands. No woman had ever been born with the Gift, and so Zheng Po hessitated. Finally he broke with tradition. He took Yi and he trained her to be the best swordswoman she was able. Fighting was never to be her first love, but Yi did the best she could to please her father. When she reached 20 the time had come; she should follow the Path and seek her own destiny. Zheng Po told Yi what had been learned of the Secret, gave her his sword, gave her his blessings, and kissed her goodbye. Yi left the village and placed her feet on the Path.

Not sure where to post this, so dropped it here. Move it if it's in the wrong, spot PP. This is Yi's portrait. A slightly modified and additionally orientalised (is that a word?) version of a standard NWN portrait.

Purple, my clothing hak was built on CEP 2.0's 2da file. Do you think it needs to be updated to 2.1? I'll probably do it here pretty soon anyways, so fair warning. :)

I may do the portrait one the same way.

Okay, I've uploaded an updated version, but I kept the old one there so people can decide which version they want to use (the one for CEP 2.0 or 2.1).

If it's a matter of choice then I'd go for the 2.1 version. I'm assuming we all need to use the same one though? If something is made with the CEP 2.1 hak in place then there's a chance someone with the 2.0 version would see some pretty weird clothing, if anything at all? Not that it wouldn't prove entertaining of course. ;)

Can someone send me the other new player's PC profile (sorry, forgotten your name) so I can add it to the list. It should be in the 'TDV Discussion' thread back at our NWC group...which I can't access, presumably because of the viruses living there, plus it looks like NWC might be using an odd port. Uh, anyways, I like to keep the profiles on the forum so I can look them up quickly whilst checking IC posts and stuff.

Speaking of which, would anyone mind doing a copy and paste of this weeks IC posts and posting them in the IC thread here? We should use the IC thread here from now on as this going to be our base.

The posts I qouted were this week's IC posts, Purple. :P

@VM: yes, we would all need to use the same hak. I named them differently, though, so there shouldn't be any confusion as to which one's which. They're also in seperate archives because I wasn't sure which one Purple wanted to use and I didn't know how many people still used 2.0/1.68.

Ahh, see that now I come to unpack them. I thought you were suggesting we use different versions of the same hak.

Who is the other new player, PP? Not sure what to transfer.

Well, that was the question. :P I updated the hak with the new 2da files from CEP 2.1 and the 1.69 patch, so I asked Purple which version she wanted to use. 8-)

I might wait until the third mod to add in the update GW, thanks. :)

The group is already setup with second mod now, so I don't want to change around the haks unnecessarily.
