April 9 session (plus IC topic)

After some debate, Lord Tagreth Cormaeril has been handed over to Guard Captain Calen in Tallwell by Dermot, Shanni and Darrow, at least until Aerikoth rejoins the group and they can determine the assassin's ultimate fate. The three, after talking to the Mayor, have been exploring the village's environs in the hopes of finding some clue as to the location of the portal where Tagreth had arrived. They have just returned to the center of the village, after checking out the fields in the southern outskirts, and are looking to head north.

"It occurs ta me tha' we din't even know what we're lookin' for, eh?", Darrow puffed as the group trudged back into town. "I mean I know I din't. Ye say it's a portal an' I picture some blue swirly thing, but..." He let his voice trail off and shrugged. "Mebbe best ta see if it makes any sense ta Aerikoth. Unless Dermot stumbles across a set o prints tha come from nowhere." He paused for a moment and watched, gauging the reaction. His tongue itched. It was time for an ale.

"I dunno what we'll find." Shanni responded with a light shrug of her shoulders. "Could be somethin' small if no one spotted it yet. Or some insignificant lookin' like a regular ruined buildin' or a stone ring. Maybe Aerikoth can get a tingle and sense it? Dunno if that's how it works, like a magic footprint, you know? If not then yeah, s'waitin' for Mr Eagle Eye t' spot a broken blade o' grass or a pressed down mushroom or somethin'."

She reached over and patted Durrow lightly on the helm. "Don't worry, we'll be back in time f' an ale by bedtime!"
