(Separately, I'll mention that I am in the process of trying to set up a third party hosting service, something which has been a lot slower and more frustrating than I had hoped. The third party service would allow me to DM while traveling, as well as insulating the game against a PC crash on my end. However, in the meantime we'll be going with me hosting the game on my PC.)
So far I've successfully tested my server locally, setting it up and then connecting to it with the DM client on the same computer. From my end, the server is also visible on Gamespy and everything looks fine. However, from painful past experience, I can say that is not a guarantee that it actually is posted publicly and can be connected to. I would therefore welcome confirmation of this. Server information is below, please post here if you are able to test connecting to it. It would be helpful to know if both the Gamespy listing and Direct Connect work.
I'll try to leave the server up for a large chunk of time today (Saturday). There's currently no password on it and it is set for local vault PCs, so there should be minimal effort required to test. It's currently running "The Dark Ranger's Treasure" as a placeholder mod, so of course you're also welcome to play it.
