Vanya Mia's Ship of the Silver Void Campaign
Din had been eager to get into a fight once more. His time in captivity had not been kind to his body, so he needed that little contest. And he also had to prove to his new comrades that he could carry his own weight. He wasn't sure about taking on the big ogre, but it could have been worse. If he had been at full strength though, his new bruises wouldn't be sitting underneath his armor.
He was privately chastising himself even as he left the cage. The ogre was dumb and, perhaps worse, slow. But still he hadn't been able to avoid all of it's sledgehammer like attacks. He had to get back into shape, or he'd never get back home in one piece. At least with this group he had no choice in the matter. He could either build himself back up to his former glory or be killed.
"So, how hot do you suppose-" he was cut off by the sudden tingle of magic that spirited them all away.

Re: Vanya Mia's Ship of the Silver Void Campaign
Devram was impressed with the young fighter's martial skill. Given the number of times he'd had to hide behind Ash since his arrival in Sigil, having someone in the group who actually specific training, as opposed to Ash's sheer toughness or Kurazt's doggedness, seemed like a good idea.
Especially where they were going. They'd been busy enough that he hadn't had much time to consider their destination, but this City of Brass seemed like a decidedly unfriendly place. Hopefully they would be able to get what they needed and get out before somebody decided to use their corpses for kindling.

((Three down so going to postpone. As I won't manage next week easily - or rather want to be bright eyed and bushy tailed the next day - skipping for two weeks and resuming on 4th September.))
Re: Vanya Mia's Ship of the Silver Void Campaign
Ash moves his feet uncomfortably as he tries to get used to the new boots. "Wonder if should have gotten pair for Zan?" He pauses for a second thinking, "Uh, he would need two pair."
Re: Vanya Mia's Ship of the Silver Void Campaign
"If you think you can get that wolf of yours to wear them, by all means buy him some, Ash. Otherwise you may need to leave him at home."
Re: Vanya Mia's Ship of the Silver Void Campaign
Boots? I didn't want any bloody boots...*he mutters* Just good solid armor..
Re: Vanya Mia's Ship of the Silver Void Campaign
((Full posting so full XP to all.))
Re: Vanya Mia's Ship of the Silver Void Campaign
Ash is looking extremely confused as the group has yet to fight. "When we supposed to kill?"
Re: Vanya Mia's Ship of the Silver Void Campaign
It was not an unreasonable question. That was something this group did well. Making or sticking to plans...not as well. Chiun was reminded of one of the Sensei's teachings:
Strong for its lightness
Unbent or bowed while it soars;
A leaf on the wind.
For this instance, Chiun preferred the lesson to the old story of the slender reed and the mighty oak. He had no need for roots. He could simply be the leaf for now.
Of course, the Plane of Fire was not an ideal place for a leaf...

Darick looked over at Ash. "When we get back to the city, Ash." Under his breath he muttered, "I hope I'm not making a mistake doing this..."
