Polytropos nodded, watching the woman practice out of the corner of his eye while polishing his own shield. Friend of Sparta! Militades would laugh! Shame about the Captain... they should have asked for his shield, too.

"Absolutely," he nodded, feigning disinterest. "Looks like someone´s messing with the places of the Gods in these parts. We don't hold with that sort of thing in these parts! If we don't go soon as we can, who knows what state it'll be in. Who knows, we might catch someone in the act."

"Ah do not worry Polytropos. Remember, part of what we may do is from our own will but the rest is just fate. Whatever the Gods have planned for we will certainly precede or catch up with. So why don't we make use of this time and see that metal worker? Not that I would need anything there but if one of you need a better blade or shield wouldn't it increase our odds of reaching Argos?"

Andreas stretched his arms before standing up. The muscular athlete had been well trained and could defeat more than one foe with his bare hands or with a solid staff. As a wrestler he was larger than the other men in the group but there was little fat in his body. He had, over the years increased his muscular mass giving himself large and strong muscles.

"We should get moving, agreed?"

"Ah, but how likely is anyone to actually believe us when we tell them of any of our exploits?" Eleni mused at Kataramene's thinking, grinning. "It's part of the curse of being as young and beautiful as we, you know; nobody takes you seriously until they've actually seen you at work - and sometimes not even then! Perhaps one day, we might hope to become sufficiently grizzled, grey and geriatric as to garner some respect, but alas! For now, we must suffer on, as is the will of the gods."

"But yes! Much as I am eager to see Argos sprawling out before me, ripe for conquest, this particular shrine sounds like far too interesting a destination to ignore. Let us away!"

Katamarene tossed her head, the mass of dark hair tumbling over her shoulders. "If necessary, when we get to Argos, I will fight whomever they choose to prove worthy." She sniffed, her bottom lip displaying something of a pout, sheathing the sword and shouldering the large shield. "I will not /follow/ an army. I will walk as a warrior or not at all."

Leonaidas sat strumming his harp under a tree as he listened to the others debate. He didn't really care either way. While he had no melee weapon to be blessed at the shrine, it would be probably be an interesting place to visit and who knew what adventures - and loot - might pop up along the way? ...and Argos, well, a big city would be pretty exciting to explore and offer plenty of opportunities for an handsome and enterprising young man like himself.

"Eh don't worry Kat, they'll probably be a bit more cosmopolitan once we get to the big city. You aren't the first woman to take up a spear." he said, reassuringly. "We should head for the forge first though. If the tales the merchant heard are true who knows what useful advantages we might find there? Hephaestus is the patron of all kinds of devices and artifice after all, not just weapons."

((So it looks like I won't be around tomorrow, on account of a family thing and the fact that nobody tells me about these things until the last freaking minute. Sorry, all.))

((That's usually how it works, Shadani. :D ))

Damian looked at the crystal in Telemachus's hand. "I'd say that the Gods wanted you to have that crystal, Tel. I hope it's what we're looking for to power that forge. From what we've been thrown up against, any advantage would be welcomed, however slight."

The heroes had found an impressive building. Made by Gods for Gods or for metal Giants. Andreas had never seen anything like that. They found the forge. The mythical place was there waiting to be used but there were no blacksmith around. They did not know what to do next or how to use the forge. Was there something specific about the crystals? They ventured into several areas of the gigantic palace. They found a glowing circle. A portal. They debated a moment about going forward or going back to rest first. True, some of them were injured but they had limited if any supplies, in any case it was a gamble...
