OOC

Do we have a game this week? Same GMT time? I forgot what we are up to now.

IC

They had left the land of the Minotaur and taken the sea to another land. The boat had birthed at the port and there was sand in the air and under their feet. It was time to go an explore a new Kingdom...

Telemachus sighed and rubbed some of the dust and sweat from his face. This landscape was pretty gruelling to travel through, even without the undead everywhere. It felt good to finally get out of the sun, and this small crypt seemed quiet and secure enough for a camp. He opened one of the extra water skins they'd brought with them and drank deeply of the lukewarm water, then started clearing up a space for a camp. The undead within the tomb were not likely to be any weaker than those they'd already encountered, and they'd already taken a beating out there. Hopefully once Damien caught up they'd have a better chance.

Leonaidas crouched in a corner with his back against the cool stone walls of the crypt. He was glad to be out of the suffocating heat, though the numbers and strength of the undead down here had him a little worried. He wondered how long it'd be before Damian showed up again with his bear. He figured they'd need all the help they could muster.

A strange thought. These ruins were ancient, yes - but only about as much as the oldest parts of Mycenae. Much older things were buried in these sands - things that went back further than even the memory of civilization in Greece.

The Egyptians have forgotten more history than we know. But even so - why this place?

The more she thought about it, the more likely it seemed this was the work of an outside force, just like on Crete. Ra-Kedet was probably just the start - cut off Egypt from its northern coasts, and it would be isolated from both the major trade routes and most of its potential allies. In such a state, a rising power could easily sweep in from the east, as the Hyskos had once done.

Eleni smiled to herself. But such a plan, of course, fails to account for us...

Another boat trip spent down in the hold sick, Damian thought as he came to. I hope the next one isn't as unpleasant. He wiped his mouth and took a large drink of water to wash it out. He looked over at Aias watching him worryingly. He reached out and scratched the bear's ears before shakily getting to his feet. He stretched and took another drink of water before gathering his things and heading up to the deck.

He shielded his eyes as the bright sun hit them, wincing at the sudden glare. He looked around and sighed. "I guess we had better go find out what mischief our friends have gotten up to, my friend. Hopefully none of them have visited the ferry man again." With that, he trudged into the city, hoping to pick up the trail of the others.

Yes, DST doesn't take effect until Sunday.

Next week's game will be off by one hour if you are in a time zone that doesn't implement DST. I will be out the 23rd and 30th but back on April 6.

Kataremene looked at the door and then, seeing no means of securing it, just shoved it shut before returning to the others. Standing to one side she looked at the trap door. "So what was down there?"

((OOC - dashes in at last minute, sorry. :( ))

"Looks kind of dark!" Polytropos calls from the bottom of the cavern, through the trapdoor. "Leads off somewhere... don't see anything, yet... uh, are you all coming down? It's kinda dark down here."
