"Now that Heracles has been freed of his prison, can we leave this place?" Damien asked. "There's been enough death here that we don't need to add ours to it." He looked around before continuing, "I wish we hadn't had to kill all of those priests and the high priestess, but they didn't seem in the mood to talk, much less hand over Heracles without a fight. I hope this is part of Hera's plan and that she won't be visiting divine retribution on us. That or another God or Goddess favors us and can shield us. Still, we have Heracles now and maybe he'll be able to help us with our fey issue, though that's something to discuss after we get out of here. It's a shame Andreas missed all of the fun." He checked everyone over for wounds and applied healing as necessary then gathered his gear and started towards the exit.

OOC

I really fell asleep and did not wake up for the game. If anyone got a potion of youth I'll take it... ;-)

IC

Andreas was talking a bath, half awake, half asleep, he was weighting the pros and cons of storming a temple right next to their home and risking the wrath of priests, authorities and at least one God just to free a Hero would should have, given his divine status been able to do so all by himself.

Thinking out loud "May be it would less risky to try to free the hero's family"...

"This.. is going to have consequences" Said Tel, as they walked out past the trail of dead Hera worshippers. "Doesn't matter if they were in the wrong. Especially not to a goddess like Hera. She's been taking out her husbands infidelity on Herc here his whole life, she's not exactly the reasonable type."

"Consequences may be putting things lightly," Eleni sighed. "But we were resigned to the possibility of such when we walked in here, no? Sneaking into the temple was never likely to go smoothly. At least now, we have a freed demigod on our side."

At those words, the sorceress cast a meaningful glance at Heracles. "Don't we?"

"He'd bloody better be," Katamarene grumbled. "If we're associated with this we just signed away our hero status around here, and the chances of achieving fame apart from through notoriety. The only question is whether to attempt to brazen it out by taking Heracles here straight to the council, and spinning some tale about false priests imprisoning him after slaying the real ones, or just making a run for it now."

"We might have stood a chance of sneaking out of here, and deny that it was ever us here," she sighed, "if it wasn't for the two we're leaving alive. Dead men tell no tales, but while the priestess might not have seen it was me who slugged her, I'm fairly certain the guards spotted all of you, so unless Eleni can do some kind of charm job on them they'll ruin any attempt for us to feign innocence."

"Thinking about it," the woman frowned, "there was still a worshiper in the main chamber, so unless by some slim chance he's still there and Eleni can charm him too - or he could be charmed by gold - then that's another blow to our plans."

Leonaidas was disappointed. Though they had managed to find and free the missing hero with minimal losses, they hadn't found much loot along the way. He wondered where the temple treasury was and how well guarded it would be at this point. Given they'd already pissed off Hera, he figured robbery wouldn't really add much more to her level of fury. He doubted the rest would go for such a side trip at this point though, so said nothing and listened to the others debate various courses of action in quiet bemusement.

"Less talk, more running," Polytropos insists. "We're not out of the woods yet. The Mother of Gods might just decide to drop a creature or two upon us before we get out, or even worse, the militia! Killing Argosian city guards is not my idea of a heroic escape, nor is it anyone's. Move!" His boots start flapping against the stonework as he starts beating a retreat.
