((Sorry all, but it looks like I'll be absent tomorrow. Familial obligations and all that jazz.

Bards and their performances... Nothing like a fight in the arena or a race in front of a crowd. Nevertheless it was over now and there was a maiden to be saved.
"What do we do now?"
Andreas had no idea where to start but perhaps he could follow the others and hope for the best.

//Sorry, but my wife has family in and I'll be cooking breakfast tomorrow morning. I should be good after New Years Day.

Leonaidas settled on a coil of rope in the bow of the ship and gazed out at the sea. He pondered the encounter with the muses, though he had to say he hadn't felt very inspired by either of them. He wondered about all the fuss; could someone really take music out of the world? He sorta doubted that, but the gods and their like were an unpredictable lot, so who could be sure one way of the other? He uncorked and downed the contents of a bottle of wine and settled back to nap... and be inspired.

Another boat ride, and more time with nothing to do but practice sparring. So Kataramene did, with any who could be persuaded, but mostly chose Polytropos if there was an option. When she did there seemed to be a little more vigor and determination in the encounter.
Strikes hitting the shield landing just a little bit harder, the pushing away from blocks marginally stronger, and flat of the blade hits to flesh sought more often. With a savage little grin marking each success, and a defiant snort meeting any returned.
Not that she was out to make him pay for anything. Definitely not, no way.

Some hours later, Polytropos can be found talking to others on the deck, standing up against the gunwale but seemingly trying not to move around much. The rigours of the journey had not managed to dampen his spirits, however, and he wears the same cocky grin as ever.
"Seems crazy that someone'd be out to steal fire from the Gods like this," he muses, on the task laid before him and his fellow heroes. "We know what happened to the last one to try that, and as grateful as we all are, I imagine he might regret it by now." He shrugs, and winces, as the movement strained a sore muscle group somewhere. He tentatively raises an arm to rub at his shoulder underneath his tunic. "You'd think people'd take that into account..."

"Are we really ones to preach when it comes to aggravating gods? We've done a lot of that lately." Said Telemachus. "The world does seem to be going crazy though.. remember when we could go entire weeks without something supernatural showing up wanting our help, or wanting to kill us?"

+1950xp for full-party posting.
With both of your casters out this week, I urge a cautious approach to taking on the archmage.

"Where are the magicians when you most need them?" asked Andreas.
Again they found their way to the shore despite the fact that at some point Andreas feared the worse as the ship seemed to work against both wind and tide.
Eventually the group did reach the shore and started to search the area. After fighting a number of giants who seems to be nothing more then larger men they found ruins and a cave before reaching an underground structure like a temple of some kind. The place was guarded with traps and magic fighting things made of wood or metal. The giant mage who used some imagery or illusion to taunt them earlier was well guarded in a large room, protected by some magical barrier making him immune to attacks.
Eventually the group did retreat to the shore, it was wiser to leave and fight another day rather than die in vain.
