((Changed it back, sorry. I set up server and then got distracted. Good to go. Noted I don't have all emails and probably should get them....))

Sorry for the script glitches today! Those multiple-skill check scripts can get a bit complicated.

Anyway, I will be unavailable on March 8, have to fly down to SoCal for a conference.

I'll post my June vacation dates once I know them, but will probably be May 30 -- June 11 (so two sessions missed).

Post your vacation dates when you know them so we can plan ahead for session postponements.

((I'll probably have to miss 3 in July, from the 12th, as we doing a long bike ride onto the continent. There's also likely to be at least one between now and then, weekend of the 9th May, but if the lads are at home I'll see about getting them to set up the server.

On another note, where will we be starting the next session for purposes of IC posts, in the caves or at the village?))

We'll probably begin with you returning to the temporary kobalos encampment in the caves.

Andreas had always frowned on magic. First it was never certain if it was safe to use magic or if there was any side effect. Worse perhaps is that he had always considered that "Magic had taken his mother from him". What mother would leave husband and child to "perfect her magic"?

After seeing what one could achieve with spells and other magical trinkets he had grown more tolerant towards both arcane and divine arts.
He even possessed a handful of trinkets, the spoil of glorious battles. He had a pair of protective bracers, a belt, a beartooth amulet and his magical jug won after defeating the Ogre. He even had a few more trinkets stuffed in his bag with the potions and precious healing herbs.

Once and a while they would face creatures requiring magic to defeat. Andreas could not do much against such creatures. However he had noticed over time that the spell making him look like a rock was not only protecting from deadly blows but also was allowing him to hurt magical creatures bypassing their magical protection somehow. Andreas wondered if he could have killed any "crystal dragon" without the help of the "rock magic"...

I will be out of town next week-end and I will have to skip that session.

Damian struggled to his feet and made his way slowly back to the kobalos camp using his staff as a walking stick. Once there, he sat on the ground heavily and leaned against Aias who also splayed out with a woof. He leaned his staff across his knees and closed his eyes for a few moments. When he opened them, he looked at the others. "So the dragon's dead and we're the heroes of the hour again. I hope it was all worth it. At least it won't be threatening the village now." He looked at El, "I'm glad we didn't lose you back there, El. Without your spells, I don't think we would have had any chance against that overgrown lizard. It's a good thing you and Pol were able to break your 'obligation' to that one Egyptian God, or demigod, or whatever it was. but do be a bit more careful in the future, okay? I don't know how many resurrection scrolls we have left if any. Anyway, I don't know about the rest of you, but I could go for a good meal and some rest before we decide what to do about that Sphinx."

"Agreed," Eleni said, wearily. "But first, we need to get some answers. These... crystal dragon things did not just come out of nowhere, I think. The Kobalos might know more than they have led us to believe. And well, you know me. I am the sort of person who likes knowing exactly what it is that just killed her."

"Agreed." Kataramene echoes the responce. She too had stumbled back, taking support where she could get it. Now she sat slumped, withe her arms wrapped around her knees and her forehead resting on them. "I've never done so much running in my life, but I couldn't hurt it and couldn't hold it's attention to keep it from you long enough for you all to defend yourself." The woman looked up and gave a weary shrug. "Not that I would have held it for long, it was tearing me to pieces when it paid attention, but for that I apologise."

"On top of which I've used more or less every magical means of aiding us when hurt, and the only means I had of calling someone back." She glanced at Polytropos and gave a long drawn out sigh. "Costly, but the village was worth it, I just hope we have a way of replacing them before we go anywhere else." Kataramene's eyes closed and she rested her forehead on her knees once more. "Being heroes is taking what's thrown at you and getting back up to do it again, I know, but we still should not be so naive as to face anything else without attempting preparation."
