Heroes of the Peloponnese Game Thread #3

//sorry about missing last week; I slept thru my alarm. I'll be there tonight, though my wife, who moved in finally wasn't pleased to hear about it; she's pretty negative about all games, but she'll have to learn to live with it.

Should a man hold a God power? Was it safe and sound to carry around the gifts of the cyclops? Many question that only time could answer. For now Andreas was happy to be safe and on the way back...

+1500xp for Eleni, Polytropos, Andreas, and Kataramene.
Re: Heroes of the Peloponnese Game Thread #3
"Well," Kataramene muttered, "we think we know who it refers to, but what does it all mean?" She gestured at the entrance. "Are we going to have something very directed and very vindictive happen in there? Is the wrath of some being, if not Hades, set against us as we thwarted their goal? Are we going to have to deal with that?"
The woman looked around at the others, pausing for a moment, then sighed. "We are, aren't we?"

"Aw, it'll be fine," insists Polytropos, patting Kataramene's shoulder. "Hades isn't going to be worried over what Ares did or didn't get. Right? Who's going to be crazy enough to slow up a band of great heroes like us? We just stormed a giant metal fort! No-one else is going to dare try. Let's show a little... optimism, maybe...?"
Re: Heroes of the Peloponnese Game Thread #3
"...or at least, save further worries for later," Eleni said, for once not entirely disagreeing with Pol. "We have a goddess to kill. I daresay that gives us quite enough to worry about for now. We're not even sure how we're supposed to accomplish the task before us, never mind how we're supposed to ever return to the world of the living."
Re: Heroes of the Peloponnese Game Thread #3
"Just keep putting one foot in front of the other until we get where we're going. We'll forge our own path through, and hack our own way back. We'll make so much trouble, hell will spit us out."
Re: Heroes of the Peloponnese Game Thread #3
"We have made good progress so far, right. I am confident that we will complete our mission and go back home with a few more scars and more treasures."
For once, Andreas was confident. Yet, it was a dreadful place so only the future could tell if indeed they would all return to Greece victorious.

Just discovered the UFO TV show (Gerry and Silvia Anderson) which inspired Microprose to make X-COM...

From a practical point of view, I don't think we really have any other paths open to us at the moment, so we'd best press on and hope for the best. Though, it might be interesting to watch and see what happens if and when that horde of demons trailing us arrives, or maybe not.
