"Did you see how big that dragon was? The one we encountered the last time, scared me to death but was much smaller, no?"

Andreas was now wearing a proper hero outfit. He would have to dye his cloak but that should not prove difficult. He also had a second belt to wear. The old had helped him to punch harder and more precisely but the new one had magical properties to improve vitality. Surely not enough to catch an throw back a projectile launched from a catapult or a war machine but certainly enough to survive a few tough fights.

They'd dispatched more of the scions, including one playing as a dragon. Sadly, the loot was not overwhelming. Some golden eggs had been traded for armor for one of the warriors; nothing he could use. Leonaidas wondered if all of their missions would be equally rewarding. This whole hero thing was wearing thin; he needed a more lucrative line of work.

"I wonder if those eggs will ever hatch? And if they do, what will come out? Might have been interesting to find out. We could have gotten Andreas to sit on them. Ah well, armour is probably more practical! and certainly less heavy! Which scion is next on our list?"

"You've encountered dragons before? I must admit, that is the first one I've ever seen!" Zokos says in amazement, but then smiles warmly at the huge warrior's excitement. It had been as big as a whale! Further, the fight had been a close call. The thought of it made Zokos frown, he knew that the God's blessings were not infinite, that some day all of them would die, and if he were not more careful than that day might come sooner rather than later....

Standing and shaking his head briefly, to rid himself of the bad thoughts, he examines Andreas' new armor, "I for one am very glad for your new armor, the blessings on it should make the need for my services less frequent. Now let's see about getting our cloaks dyed, I've had the same idea for mine for some time now."

"I sincerely doubt they were simple gold, yes," Eleni said. "But while I would love to sate my curiosity, there is very little chance that holding on to the eggs would have helped us in the short run. Which is rather what one tends to be concerned with when trying to depose a family of insane demigods."

"One more to go, yes? Let us put an end to the Scions threat once and for all. I guess we should go back to Olympus first."

They had won another battle but not without casualties. Without Zokos divine powers not all of them would have been able to go back. Was that just fate? Or where they getting slopping and careless when handling the injured. Andreas knew for a fact that despite running fast and being proficient with bandages and healing herbs he had to either strike the enemies or assist the wounded. He remember trying to do both in Hades and had to be revived after a fatal blow.

"We're in the home stretch now, but we need to be more careful. Several times now we've smashed through our enemies soldiers and then come up hard against the scions themselves. Everyone must be ready to help a fallen ally. I don't feel like crossing the styx again, and I think we've run out of scrolls, so if anything happens to Zokos, we might be in trouble."

"It might also help if we have a bit more of a plan at times, rather than folks just rushing in to engage, but then what do I know? I'm not a warrior." Leonaidas was actually surprised they hadn't taken a few more casualties given the haphazard approach the group often seemed to take. The gods must be smiling on them, he mused to himself. He would be glad when the last of the scions were dispatched, though he did wonder how their mother would view them.
