I just look at my localvault and luckily I did save Andreas at the end of last game (August 2).

He had 172260 XP (so he was going to lvl up to 19 today even w/o forum xp) and was wearing the white robe and the belt.

Can I get my missing XP/level back?

No one else had a dropoff of XP during the server changeover. Most likely the cause is that VM inadvertently missed your character when she was backing up the server vault.

I'll catch you up on XP next time.

//Sorry about that guys, I tried to get it started up (over the phone with my brother from work heh) only to find out the box is undergoing a server migration. Hopefully be done fairly soon and be able to continue using the server.

((Control freak has kicked in, T, so unless there's an objection from LB I'll take hosting back. It's only an issue if I have a long break, which won't happen now until next year, and my machine stayed on and running while I was away so I can always do that again if I do. I can also give my lad instructions and you can holler him over Skype.

The date on yours was the same as everyone else's, Mirg, so I don't know what happened unless it didn't save on exit last time. Sometimes if you save to localvault it can screw that up, or if the connection dropped. LB can sort you, or if he prefers I could take a copy of the your LV version and he can just drop a little XP on that for last session.))

Let's leave it with VM for now, then, given the frequency of Topato's RL commitments taking him away. (Sorry you have to work so many Saturdays, that sucks.)

I think we've fixed Andreas in terms of gear, so the XP boost at the start of the next session should take care of him. I do keep track of XP so it'll just be a question of finding out how far he fell behind compared to his previous recorded total and then factoring out what was earned last session.

// Server is usable again now. I'm fine with VM hosting, if we sync the server vault fairly often we could just use it as a back up.

In other news, I am trapped on Saturdays for the next month or so by the look of it. Fuckers have basically shoved me on all evening shifts too, it's really screwing with my NWN time.

"This is a test, right? We being stuck here not knowing where to go next? I expected us to find a secret door or something leading to some underground temple or lair of some sort but so far nothing.

Just this endless swamp, the smell, mosquitoes, frogs and the beasts. Anyone got any idea how navigate this place?"

Andreas was confident somebody would come up with a decent idea even if he could not.

OOC

Sent the char (from August 2) to LB (not sure if that email still works though). At the start of the previous game Andreas was missing the robe and the belt both items we got a few sessions earlier (even LB said it) and he was a lvl short (got up to 18 instead of 19). I'd rather miss last session's XP rather than a full level if you ask me. I need to visit a few places but should be back on time for the game.

"I don't know," said Polytropos, sounding weary. "Moving in a straight line isn't working... or, well, it is, because it's showing us moving in a straight line isn't working, but that's as far as it goes. I keep looking for some sign, some... sense that someone went one way, but there's just ruins and swamp and stuff trying to eat us, aarrgh."

"But if you're going to make a labyrinth, then... then you almost always make it so that the only way out seems like the way going nowhere..." He slaps his neck as another mosquito gets delusions of grandeur. "Gah! It's getting really hard to concentrate around here!"

"Well," Kataramene began, the determination of her expression echoing in her voice, "we've proven that if we keep walking in the same direction that will bring us to exactly the same place." She paused a moment.

"As you say, I'm not sure how useful that is, because we didn't get away from here, which sort of means we can't get away from here." Frowning she paused again. "And we didn't find anything either, which is also not good."

A slightly longer pause followed. "You'd have expected that the worst of her monstrous friends would be protecting the thing we need to be aware of to find her, but we've found nothing even where that big eye was." She bit her bottom lip lightly. "Time is on her side, though, we'll run out of supplies unless we can find her and break this enchantment."

"We could just turn and try to do the same thing walking east or west and see what happens?" The woman threw a glance at Polytropos and moved perceptibly closer. "We just need to remember to stay close together."
