Tactics. It's all about tactics, the clone thinks. The humans have good tactics, they work in teams, communicating via some means that is inferior to the clones' telepathy but still allows them to coordinate their actions and respond quickly to incursions.

X-COM, in particular, is very good at this.

The Wild One digs deeper into the computer database, looking for ways to make their armor better. It comes upon a subfile, and a flash of memory awakens at the word cyberdisc...

That was the next project in the Advanced Support work they were doing, it recalls. The Cyberdisc, an armored robotic life form, which is often assigned to sectoid raid missions and for ship or facility defense...

Armored robotic life form...

Armored...

The clone eagerly goes into the database, trying to uncover more secrets about the cyberdisc that it can steal and apply to the armor project.

There is an alarm.

The Wild One looks up to find all of the other clones looking at it. The console it was using is flashing with a red light.

CYBERDISC DEPLOYMENT COMMAND SAFEGUARDS OVERRIDDEN, the screen says. ACTIVATE PROTOCOL 66.

The clone doesn't know what it just did, but it suspects that it's not going to be a good thing.

Back in the lab, Strong looks at the tools chest. "Elder right, we need better medicines. Who good at making them? I help." He starts to grab various tools and bottles and sets them out on a table.

Remember that the relevant skills for the Medical Domain are Craft (pharmaceutical), Knowledge (earth and life sciences), and Research. If you do not have those skills, you can write a creative post on how to use another skill to support the project (with a reduced effect).

"medicine good. But we need better way to give medicine. Spike take too long and have to put gun away!" *starts work on trying to build a one-handed syringe that'll deliver drugs more efficiently.*

Happy New Year, everyone! Twelve and a half years after NWN came out, and we're still here. :)

The Pale One was eager to get to work. These were the secrets it had been hoping to unveil: the bonds of life; the cyphers that wrote its very being.

It did not doubt that the Masters withheld much from them, on subjects such as these perhaps more than others. How trivial must simple medicine seem, after all, to those who created the Recombination process? But in a way, it revelled in the opportunity to trace these paths on its own; to extend the reach of its own capabilities without the aid of the Masters. To see, if only by the smallest of steps, not what it could be shaped into by their will, but how it might come to shape itself. Perhaps that was the true purpose behing the experiment that was its own existence.

And yet, ours is not to question...
