The team had been sent to a human base after getting an armour upgrade. It was quite a delicate one. They landed in the mountain and travelled up and down several peaks avoiding human patrols as much as possible.

Sometimes the others were so close that Fast and the less stealthy clones had to crawl to avoid detection. As they were getting closer to the human base they had to engage and kill some of the defenders.

Entering the place was another issue. They spotted a balcony and a door that could be used as point of entry. The Floaters used their jump suit to reach the balcony. Others had to climb or be carried. One was left behind.

They quickly moved inside the old stone structure searching for the entrance to the lab. Soon after they placed a fake bomb next to the power generator (a decoy to hide the real mission) and planted some kind of bug into the human computer system.

They also found a kind of shuttle. They used it to return to their own high tech shuttle joining with the remaining clone before returning to the base.

"We did good, right? So what do we research now?"

"We continue our work from before," Pale said, simply. "Progress has not been... quite as fast as we might have hoped. But I believe that I am approaching a solution to a number of problems."

It paused for a moment, appearing thoughtful.

"There is much that we have not been told about our own biology. The... accident... with the Earth-insects has made me curious. Experimentation may be required."

Strong nodded at Pale. "Those are my thoughts as well, but I believe we should prioritize improving our medical capabilities over manufacturing. I believe we're very close to finishing the later, so focusing on the former will greatly benefit us." He looked around the lab and returned to what he was doing before the last mission.

"The Pale One is correct, there is much we do not know about our physiology." The Quiet One says in response to Pale's statement about its research. "Here, let me show you the progress I've made in my research on the tiny earthlings. I had to craft some fine tools to work with such small and delicate creatures... it is almost as if they were designed to be disposable."

Quiet shows Pale all of the notes, tools, and research equipment it had developed thus far, then helps with further physiology research under Pale's direction.

"We close to finish both," Nimble remarked as the conversation circulated, "but one probably not finish if we keep sharing tools. We keep going with researching things about clones, so yes to concentrate there is good because learning things about clones really matter. But we need finish building tools and facilities so able to make more."

With a determined little look the clone swiped one of the tools from Fast. "I work on dinger and learn more about making recombinator better and that kind of thing ready for new medicine. Not think Strong and Fast finish facility without aid of those who know more."

((Hard choice, nothing to choose between them, but as I believe we'd be best dropping off the lab projects next time and probably want to keep on with medical it's better to have the overflow in medical. However it's going to be at the risk of us not making the manufacture minimum needed as 16 is a long stretch at half marks. Will help with the lab though alongside Strong and Fast as a secondary project and hope for the rolls! *crosses fingers* Craft Mech 14 on the lab.))

The Scowling One jerks up at this sudden movement from Nimble, and the other clones get a brief, clear telepathic picture of the Scowling One's daydream: imagining itself thirty feet tall, crushing humans and clones beneath its feet. It looks around guiltily before getting back to work. "Yes," it adds, trying to catch up from the last part of the conversation it remembers. "... biology. Yes."

It moves over to the biogeneticombic resequencalyser, its thoughts more guarded and secret - but likely not much different.

Sorry for the late post, but I just got back from a week-long work trip. Unfortunately the dice grew cold in my absence...

* * *

Week 23

Primary Project: Improved Manufacturing 2 (70RP, 16RP needed)

Project Leader: The Nimble One, Craft Mechanical 14, ROLL 5, Result 19

Project Support (all roll vs. DC20 to add +2, DC25 to add +3, DC30 to add +4, non-core skills subtract 1 from the bonus):
The Fast One: Craft Mechanical 13, ROLL 12, Result 25 (+3RP)
The Strong One: Craft Structural 12, ROLL 15, Result 27 (+3RP)

Research Earned: none (see below)

Secondary Project: Regenerative Serum 2 (40RP, 17RP needed)

Project Leader: The Pale One, Knowledge Earth and Life Sciences 16, ROLL 1, Result 17 (see below)

Project Support (all roll vs. DC20 to add +1, DC25 to add +1.5, DC30 to add +2, non-core skills subtract 1 from the bonus):
The Quiet One: Craft Mechanical 13, ROLL 4, Result 17
The Scowling One: Knowledge Earth and Life Sciences 12, ROLL 18, Result 30 (+2 RP)

Research Earned: none (see below)

* * *

A klaxxon blares, filling the interior of the base with sound! The clones rush about, trying to avoid the flames and the toxic smoke. It takes the better part of two hours, but the fire is finally put out. But the damage has been done. Your research work lies in shambles; all of the progress made this week is lost.
