((Phew! I had 100 plus updates outstanding so even though I told it not to do so (or so i thought) can only suppose one of them messed the ports. Yay for having your children in campaigns and so in touch with players you know!))

Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
The band of Devoted ventured out of the small city and defeated a numbed of crazed animals. At some point, near a bridge they met a tiny fey. A small elf like creature with butterfly wings. The creature was able to speak and told them about her friend stuck in a cave guarded by a malicious. A typical search and rescue task adequate for any knight or paladin worthy of the title. Pius went in first. The cave was really dark but a "light" spell casted on his halberd did the trick. The others quickly followed. While searching the place they were attacked by a ferocious black cat. Numbers did prevail and they eventually killed the animal. Further in the cave they found a shy injured bear. Pius went forward and talked to the animal. Apparently it worked. Not only the animal did not flee or attack but it followed the group outside the cave. Fey and bear were then re-united.
It was not the only search and rescue mission of the day. As missing farmers were reported they went to investigate a specific farm fighting animals on the deserted fields and even indoors. A large black bird had nested in the upper floor of the house. After killing it the others left the area but Pius noticed some items that were worth retrieving including a nice looking possibly magical cloak. He found his friends and the farmers alive in the basement and immediately returned all recovered items to their rightful owners. Taking the family to the safety of the city did not present any difficulty after that.
"We did well today."

Toric nodded at Pius' words. "Aye, that we did, laddy. We still be needin' ta find out where them crazy animals're comin' from though. Mayhaps that there druid circle might be a good place ta start. At the very least, the Elf should feel right at home." He winked at Slade before heading back to the feast table. "But fer now, let's eat!"

//I've upgraded to Window 10 using MS' free upgrade offer. So far NWN seems to work fine in SP, but next session will show if it works in MP as well. *crosses fingers*

The food and the drink and the smiles ran easily for most, though one at the table was quiet, solemn and withdrawn. Suula watched as the plates were laden, face blank - her usual sour mood being no match for a party atmosphere. After a few half-hearted criticisms of the table layout, she fell quiet.
Instead, she nodded and sipped quietly at her mug as the stories were told and the jokes were bandied about, and nibbled at the dishes as they came. She rode out Toric's jests with stoicism, shrugged at Nihmri's sage questions, rolled her eyes at Pius's platitudes, smiled vapidly at any of Amathain's words or movements. And always, when she thought no-one was looking, she stole hopeful glances around the room, or looked unhappily at the empty chair beside her.

"It is nice to be appreciated," Nihmri said. "And I am growing quite fond of this new dagger. It slices through shadows like they were made of butter. Sweet, joyous butter. But for all that, we're no closer to solving this than we were yesterday. I guess the stone circle is as good a clue as any, though."

+200xp for Pius, Toric, Suula, and Nihmri for IC posting this week.

I think we've earnt a good nights sleep today, we did some fine work. I think I might be the most spoilt soldier ever born, with so many fine healers in my company. So tomorrow we should head for this shrine first, does anyone need to pick up any more equipment before we leave?

"There you are!" A frazzled looking Shanni rushed into the room and over to Suula, enveloping the other in a worried embrace with no by your leave. Squeezing her twin hard before the worry ebbed away and the sisterhood took over.
"Where have you been?! I've been worried sick!" She released her and threw her arms out in an exasperated fashion. "All I did was go for a bath, and you'd gone." The young woman paused. "Well there was this young fellow who really needed me to watch over him while he worked. I mean, there he was, stripped to the waist, sheened with sweat and everything. That long hair could have slipped over his eyes when he tossed his hair, or the shovel could have slipped in his hands, and who knows what might have happened. Pulled one of those firm muscles, cut one of his strong hands, twisted his...."
Her eyes went a little dreamy then she shook her head. "Anyway! "I've been looking for you for ages. Don't do it again!"
((A quick test meant Topato could get in, so I think we're good to go when it comes time. 80.4.11.238 still and usual password.))
