With the help of one big fellow from the nearby fortress the group chased a marilith in the deadly caves. This time, disaster was avoided although the group had to make camp in a dangerous area. After activating a portal they found themselves in the presence of not one but two deities Tymora and Beshaba who granted them knowledge and gifts. Althor received enough arrows to handle the coming battles...

In the quiet realm of the Fugue, a priestess is transfixed in religious awe. Her fingers still lightly touch the lip that felt the kiss of her goddess; her eyes are still unable to look away from the pale, dark-clad figure that burns coldly in the high-arched vault, radiating scorn and schaudenfreude. Suula gasps again, sighing softly to herself as the lambent Maid of Misfortune once again mocks her sister-deity's bold footwear.

Her voice finds itself, speaking to anyone nearby; or to no-one at all, for all that she's aware. "I think... I think I should dye my hair white. What do you think?"

The party had tracked down and killed the snake demoness working for Orcus, though Slade wasn't really sure such things could be permanently destroyed. He hoped it would be banished for a good long time, till after he had died of old age - hopefully. A portal had taken them into the presence of two goddesses who offered encouragement and gifts for their efforts. He wondered how much longer they were gonna hafta wander these outer planes as pawns of these immortals?

Standing side by side with her twin, an identical expression on identical features, a second priestess stands paying little attention to surroundings as her patron chats back and forth with her own reflection. If the parallel of behaviour occurs to her she shows no sign, simply watching with rapt attention - completely disarmed - until her sister speaks.

Shanni's mouth opens and closes a couple of times as responses form and are dismissed but eventually she speaks. "Why not? I might cut mine and I'm definitely going gold again." Her eyes drop to the footwear under discussion. "Just not the heels until we get home, or at least don't start whining if they break."

// back this week! I'm not sure what we wanted Amathain to have been doing? It might be simple as deciding that bringing a paladin into a plane like that would be like walking around with a beacon and a big sign saying "please kill us". That depends on how much knowledge the party had of their destination though.

Somewhere a man sits and sharpens a sword that really doesn't need it, and polishes armour that's already always shiny, and waits.

"I think," Nihmri says, with a grin as wide as the sea. "That this is an excellent idea. The best idea, in fact, that anyone has ever had."

She emits something like a chortle, then claps her hands. "I could help, actually! Used to do this sort of thing all the time, back before I became a disciple. When I was a street musician, I mean. We'd paint ourselves in all sorts of interesting ways, all the better to attract the attention of passers-by. Never managed to make white hair work, though. Don't really have the complexion for it, let's say. But I bet it would look brilliant on you, you pale phantom of a thing."

//You're still traveling the planes, Top, so you'll be with us this session.

Toric shook his head at the shenanigans of his party. He grimaced at Nih, "Yer not helping, lass. 'Tis bad 'nough the twins look like someone stole their tongues, we don't need ye adding to the drama."

Toric's gaze drifted back to the forge and his expression changed to one of awe and approval. He slowly walked towards it eyeing it critically and grunting in approval. "Now this, this be a proper forge. If'n golden boy shows up proper like, we'll have the tools to at least get to the horny bastard if not kill 'im." He pulled out his ax and ran a finger along its edge. "We still got a backup if'n we need it. This thing'll slice through demons and devils like nobody's business. Just ask that one with the overinflated ego just how sharp it be."

((Perfectly possible for Ama to have got separated when we were sent into Sigil. Lawful good's definitely a huge flag in the Abyss so it's perfectly possible for him to have been diverted. Not just by something trying to keep him out but also by his patron to prevent him going in too soon as the entire party would be in deep do do if he hadn't. Given what Tymora and Besheba said it's a reasonable extrapolation to say that happened. Could even be why Pius was singled out, who knows?

On another note, I forgot to say but I won't be in town next Saturday. We're off to Italy but I'll be around in the morning so can start server regardless.))

+2400xp for full-party IC posting.

Amathain has been "trapped in the transporter buffer" but I'm sure Tymora will be able to get that straightened out at the start of the next session.
