Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
The temple of all faith was huge. Althor managed to lost his way once or twice. It is known that rangers do not always do well indoors. There was a gigantic water weird in the main hall but apparently it was not moving that was probably for the best. The group did not stay long in the temple. Soon they left in search of a dragon. Before living Althor received a very effective sword from the paladin so he returned the hammer to the dwarf. Now, if he was cornered at close range he could switch to the sword and wreak havoc those impudent who would dare attack him.

Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
Thus far I've still only heard of one person who can't make it on Saturday, so we're go unless a) VM cannot host, or b) others have a conflict.
Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
Suula looked up at the steep hills before them, and looked grumpy. Once the sideburned militaman had wandered away, she spoke. "You know, followers of great Gods like us, who've literally stepped where Angels fear to tread, and put it all on the line in the name of faith? They usually found some sort of cushy temple. Have disciples. Are paid tribute to. That kind of thing." She folds her arms. "Not go back to doing weird errands in the ass-end of the Realms, and not trying to find out the truth behind the world's most boring dragon attack."
She looks up at the sky for a moment. "Makes you feel like a real cosmic pawn sometimes."

//As am I.
Toric chuckled. "Yer just now figuring that out, eh lass? The Gods 'ave a sense o' humor they do. Unfortunately we're generally the butt o' their jokes." He looked to the sky. "Still. There be a reason why we've been sent 'ere and I'm curious as to why. I 'least like ta find out why I was forced ta take 'nother boat ride and this 'brown' dragon makes me wonder if'n it ain't a copper that's let its skin go dull."

"You know, I'm just a bit worried about this." Shanni said with a perplexed frown. "It does sound like it's one of the metallic lot and I can't help but keep thinking about the silver one." She looked up at the mountains. "I don't know much about dragons but I'm pretty sure I heard that all the metallic colour ones were pretty much okay, and this one doesn't seem to have actually hurt anyone so far. We don't want to end up killing something that might be in trouble and just trying to manage."
"I just get the feeling that there's something more here." She looked back over her shoulder past the lake. "That druid didn't say much but most of it was about dreams, so I think we need to stay and go in the morning." Shanni looked at the others.
"Go if you want to but I think another night of sleep is a chance to dream and if I do I want to see the druid afterwards." She started to walk away then paused. "Try not to kill it before I get there in case I learn something."
((Won't be there, hence the excuse not to IC post, but I can put the server up no problem. We won't be leaving until close to game time anyway, but typically can't wait until after it. *rolls eyes* ))

Slade wasn't keen on hunting more dragons,given his luck vs. them in the past, but maybe things might work out different this time. Maybe this time the dragon could be reasoned with. If not, he planned to stay well clear of the beast.
Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
"S'not really a dragon attack, is it, though?" Nihmri said, evidently deep in thought. "I mean, it sounds kind of like the poor thing's just been sleepwalking, or something. Which is kind of scary, when you think about it. Sleepwalking dragon of possibly immense power, and all that. Draconic somnambulist. Not sure if that qualifies as boring, exactly."
Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
"It does seem a little less straightforward than your standard "we've got a dragon and it's killing everyone" problem." Amathain pondered. "The farmer said it was dull gold, and spoke about a dream. Coupled with what the druid said, that gives us a rather odd starting point. We had best go and speak to the dragon, if we can."
