The party continued their custom of slaying any and all things that took offense to having their territory being intruded on. Despite his warnings, they made little effort to bypass anything, wiping out a colony of wasps and a flock of ravens before encountering a local rather angry, and probably a bit crazy, druid. Talks quickly degenerated as no efforts were made to mollify or flatter, and in the resulting running battles, more animals were wiped out along with the shape-changed druid - though no one was positive on that. This was particularly regrettable in Slade's view, as the druid had alluded to the dragon they sought before all hell broke loose. Slade wondered how they would find the beast with so little to go no.

// Slade said it all already //

Althor felt disgusted and sad after the group slaughtered a herd of large cows of some kind. Having been trained as a ranger among elves he was always reluctant to destroy plants and animals. So were the teachings of protectors of the forest. He was convinced that the group could have bypassed whatever mad druid or animals that was on their path.

He did however help destroy a nest of very large wasps as these were probably a danger for anyone passing by not to mention the aura of malevolent magic one could feel around them.

He hoped that the next time the group could be more focus on the task at hand and less interesting in mindless slaughter.

Toric glared at Althor. "What? What kinda question is that, lad? I ain't gonna let a boar gnaw on me without fightin' back! I'da left them buffalo alone if'n they hadn't turned violent. Or did ye forget how docile they all got after that mad druid was killed? 'Sides, I was hungry." He tears into a buffalo steak and smacks his lips. "Gotta admit, them's good eatin'. Anyway, despite what ye two nature lovers think, we got the job done: the dragon that was terrorizing the town is gone and the townsfolk 'ave plenty o' meat to replace what they lost to it. I'd call that a win all around." He gestures at Am and Shani. "Now that we've the golden twins back, can we return to the temple? Mayhaps the Prelate can figure out who or what's been causing these terrible dreams."

"Don't know about you, but I have a mandate." Suula taps the amult around her neck, the twin-antlers of Beshaba. "Misfortune and calamity. I think we did just fine up there. Smoking ruin and disaster to all who cross our path and make a mess. Yes. Just fine. If you had a problem with it, should have been clearer about it at the time."

She holds her nose in the air, but then deflates a bit as Amathain and Shanni rejoin the company.

Just as an FYI, in-game we had Amathain and Shanni scout off along the western coast of the island. No doubt hilarious and thrilling hijinx ensured, though I will leave it to Topato and Vanya Mia to elaborate if they wish.

They rejoined via DM Wand magic at the end of the session and everyone will return to the local town together at the start of the next session.

"Scouting the coast turned up nothing of note, unfortunately. Did I hear you say you already dealt with the dragon? That was... quick. And you look rather less singed than I might have expected. I take it there is a tale there?"

"Of course everything was fine," Shanni commented as the two walked up. There was a general air of dishevelment about both of them. Traces of small twigs and leaf matter could be seen in Shanni's hair, and there were signs of mud and grass-stains on their armour. Both of them looked a little worn out and breathless.

"Why wouldn't it be fine?" she continued. "And don't be so modest Ama, everything went absolutely to plan. Totally perfect. We were so assiduous that we nearly forgot to come and meet you." She tidied her hair subtly, and assumed an innocent expression as she pulled one of the bits of vegetation stuck there away.

"Very productive too, we achieved everything we intended." A cheery smile lit her face. "How did you all do?"

"Oh, the dragon's fine," Nihmri said. "Big ol' Brass one. He wqs real sleepy, is all. Gave him a bit of medicine and perked right up. Then he went back to check on the missus back in - where was it? Tethyr? Someplace east, anyhow. Said we ought to stop by his volcano lair if we're ever in the neighbourhood. He was nice! Real friendly sort."
