Having internet. Problems; not sure I'll make it.
Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
With only 4 players appearing we decided to call the game and skip to next weekend.
EDIT: Okay, karvon. Thanks for the heads-up.

Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
My internet access keeps cutting out on me. I did manage to log in to the game about 10 min late. But, access continues to flake out on me. I may need to buy a new router

Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
On Blood Magic, Eldritch Magic and Witchcraft.
It had been said said that Arcane Archers were relying on Eldritch Magic to enchant their arrows. Yet, there was no tangible evidence to support this theory. Perhaps a few Eldritch Wizards were also archers but it would be difficult if not unpractical to inscribe tiny runes on arrows.
Althor remembered a story of an archer sorceress who could apparently enchant her arrows with a kiss. He n ever met her and did not know if there was any truth in that tale but at any rate that would probably be the most elegant way to create enchanted arrows on the fly. Plus it would require no verbal, somatic or material component.
Althor did not know yet how to create the infamous arrow of death. The one that would kill a foe instantly without the need of piecing a vital organ. So far, he could enchant his arrows enough to bypass a stone skin spell and was able to create fireball like explosive arrows, he also could enchant a seeker arrow, a kind of smart arrow that could chase a target. The most impressive thing he could do was to clone a single to create a hail of arrows and shoot at several targets at once.
Althor had trained as a ranger and had basic bardic knowledge. His magic was rather weak. Yet, his arrows were as good as any arcane archer. He believe that it was due to his heritage, drow blood on one hand with whatever imbued powers he might have inherited plus being the offspring of those practicing sorcery. The magic he used was peculiar and often frowned upon. For that reason he did not mention it to his friends and always stepped away to work on his arrows.
As the group was taking a break Althor moved away from the group making sure that sneaky Slade was not spying on him. He then made a small cut to his finger and took out a small ink like container. He filled it with his blood. He then added a tiny drop of blood on a number of arrows before rejoining the group.

//Sorry. Mom's doing better and we should know next Tuesday when she'll be able to come home.
Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
((I may not make it Saturday. There's a big meeting of the bike club on and Himself has come up with something he wants me to do while there. I can still host though.))

Toric snorted at Am's reply. "'Course they would, lad. But some o' them high 'n might types think only THEY know how's things are supposed to be; which is why they keep tryin' ta take o'er the world. That or they got an ego the size of Bane's 'ead and think they be above petty concerns like morality, and justice, and the like.
//Mom's home, so I should be available this weekend unless something comes up. I'll try to let you guys know ahead of time if I won't be here.

I'll carry over the posts from last week, unless the XP for them was already claimed in the brief no-session last weekend.
+1900 for Toric, Amathain, Mirgalen, Nihmri, and Slade for IC posting.
