Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
Resting up at the temple seemed somewhat paradoxical to Slade after their return, as they had been dreaming after all, but he did feel better after a full night of undisturbed sleep. He was pleasantly surprised at how much loot the party had brought back and spent a fair time pondering how to spend his share of the gold at the local traders. He settled on trading in a few of his old items and using the gold to buy some better replacement for his rather old set of scale he'd been wearing since helping kill the shadow dancer who'd owned it and the tiger mask helm for one with better sensory magic enhancement. He wistfully considered a few other items, but lacked the gold to purchase more. Well, perhaps the next assignment would prove as lucrative.

Toric stared at Nihmri with crossed arms as she browsed through the books in the temple's library. Finally he harrumphed and said, "Fine! Keep yer secrets, lass, so long as they don't endanger the party any. I'll keep me mouth closed fer now, but I still want an explanation and soon." He glared at her once more before turning on his heels and left the library looking for the others and The Prelate.
Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
The group returned to the temple of all faith. Altor got plenty of arrows and some equipment. Apparently they were going to a desert. Not many trees in desert. Not the best place for a Ranger. Yet, it could be interesting...

On a side note.
I will be on the road in June. Depending on my location and internet (or lack of) availability I may not be able to make it all the time.
More importantly, I believe we are all trying to have fun being part of LB campaign. I understand, players are in for various reasons e.g. the interaction with PC/NPC, items and artefacts, cleaning dungeons...
I am in for these reasons in addition to staying IC as much as possible:
1. Stay alive with the boundaries of RP (so you may have noticed that my death rate on average is pretty low)
2. Gain as many level as possible, possibly be the highest level (or most powerful) character in the campaign
3. Defeat monsters and FIND magic items in dungeons
It seems that (at least in the current campaign) I am doing more and more metagaming as opposed to RP. I did not managed to achieve 1. with Altor, so 2. will not be possible. When it comes to 3. I broke my rule last session buy purchasing a magic item something I have never done (in standard DnD settings) since I got NWN up and running (excluding bag and the occasional kit/potion/scroll to remove curse/disease...). For those not familiar with the "Thou shall not buy magic item" thing, it comes form 1st edition (somewhere in the DMG). The idea behind that is that if you can buy rings of invisibility at the nearby store, finding one while going through the hoard of a sleeping dragon will not make you feel like Bilbo or any adventurer discovering a rare item.
I am putting all this on virtual pain vs pleasure scale. We shall see...

Nihmri spent much of the remainder of the day studying maps and scrolls that told of distant lands and empires buried in the sand. She delved into a realm secrets and whispers, and made them her own.
The following morning, she was a woman changed, all smiles and light. "I think we're about ready to find ourselves something new to chase, don't you?" she said, with a mischievous glint in her eye. "Bigger and better things, and so on and so forth."

Amathain spent some hours in quiet prayer, offering his thanks to Torm for his aid and guidance in their battles, and his hope for the lords continued favour in their future adventures.
He spent the rest of his time resting, repairing, and reequipping. Knowing full well that their stays in the temple were always brief, and that their next mission would no doubt be imminent.

Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
Shanni spent a little time in the Tymora's shrine on some task she kept to herself, and then retired to a quiet corner of the women's room. Possibly more thoughtful than meditating as she adjusted equipment and cleaned weapons, counted supplies and generally did simple tasks that wouldn't distract the mind. Frowning and sighing in equal measure as she did so.
After a while she reached for a piece of parchment and a quill and, biting the end of the feather occasionally, seemed to be compiling some kind of chart. The only thing easily readable in an elaborately cursive script being the title at the top. Namely "To curse or not to curse?." Below this was a cross drawn from two intersecting lines with the words "Curse" and "Don't Curse" as column headers with "Good" and "Bad" as row titles.
She then began to fill the boxes with short sentences. Thus began perhaps the multiverse's first cursing SWOT analysis.

"... are you still on about that? Really?" Suula appeared over her sister's shoulder like a frowning moon over the horizon. She stared at the parchment in disgust. "Ugh... I thought you'd have had your fill by now! have you just decided to be better than me at something else, now? Not content with me merely being mostly irrelevant? You have to be the best witch, too?"
The Beshaban cleric shook her white hair out of her face, and folded her arms, moving to stand in Shanni's field of view. "You make me sick, the way you do this. And by the way, that person there? Third one down? Totally a 'Curse'. You can't even get that right."
