The Dragon's Village 2017
Moderator:Lazybones
The mission against the beastmen hit a couple of early snags as the party marched along the road. First, an unfriendly earth spirit took offense at their passage thru his domain and they were obliged to destroy a number of his animal slaves before Gojiro managed to slash him in half with his katana. A bit further along they ran into a old woman who sought their help rescuing family from some other sort of mudmen. This required a bit of a slog into a nearby marsh, but eventually the mudmen were tracked down and dispatched. However, all was not as it seemed, as the woman was actually some sorta shifter who attacked the party in the marsh and was only slain after a rather long and hard fight. Again, Gojiro slipped in and cut her in half with a well-placed strike. Making their way back to the road, the group pressed on.

Demons & Spirits
Tenko offered to return to the yakuza fortress to ensure that it was vacant and loot the place armoury. Yet, the Dragons who now had some gold in their pocket did not feel the need to revisit the place.
Instead the group left to resolve another beastmen problem. On the way the group was attacked by animals that had been charmed by a small winged Oni. Later, the group found an old woman who asked for help. Not far from her there was the body of an old man recently killed by sharp claws. Tenko found the thing very suspicious but before he could alert the others he found himself alone as the others had already entered into the nearby marsh. He followed them finding them fighting against mud men. Then the old woman came and showed her true form. As Tenko suspected, she had killed the old man and was luring her victims into the swamp before killing them. She was an onibana, a kind of kijo.
After dealing with the hag and her mudmen minions, the group decided to set the old man to rest before continuing.

As the night wound its way towards morning Moriko sat near the door in mournful silence. When Master rumbled a little the only response he got was a listless shrug, so he rumbled a little more. This time he got a response.
"But they don't. The elder said they wouldn't and they don't." She said in a soft, miserable tone. "How can it make a difference if they don't? Even those who should know better won't." Her eyes turned to the venerable animal and a note of confused pleading entered her voice. "Earth have no place holding water and fire to their will. What is wrong that those of the lesser elements subdue the higher or block them out? What if wind is too or ..." Moriko's small frame shuddered as she looked at the sleeping forms of her companions and Master rumbled a little in a deep and gentle manner.
Moriko shrugged again and hugged her stick to her tightly. The elderly panda gave a grunt more reminiscent of a sigh than anything before nestled in close to her and she relaxed to lean against his warm bulk, closing her eyes and falling silent in the dark before dawn.

The late evening is still as the companions wash their clothes, see to their wounds, and rest. Most of them are catching what they can, when there's a low moan and the sudden unsheathing of steel. Wen looks up from his mattress, bewildered, alarmed... and eventually, giving sheepish glances to anyone noticing him awake in such a fashion. He slides Master Sha's sword back into its scabbard, shaking himself as if trying to throw off whatever woke him.
"Nothing... nothing wrong with my mental fortitude," he echoes uncomfortably, as he tries to settle back down to sleep.

Ning sat alone in silence, meditating.
She was further away from home than ever before, but somehow, it didn't quite feel like this was true. What was home to someone like her, after all? Abbot Shen had been right about many things - she had remained still and motionless for far too long.
A river is only a river when it has direction; purpose. She wasn't quite sure what that purpose was, exactly, and she did not look forward to finding out, but there was one thing that she knew, and that was that there would be more trials more. More blood and more pain. Enough, perhaps, to drown herself in.

Davis mulled over his new-found companions. Strange folk, some stranger than others ... but fitting, perhaps, for such a strange land. And certainly the things he had seen, and might yet see, made this continued journey well worthwhile!

Re: The Dragon's Village 2017
I added the CRP haks for the next mod to a RAR file on Vanya Mia's Box.net account, for convenience.
The link is https://app.box.com/s/006x70mw2cup7dbancuo8c8pmzormr6c. Haks in the /hak folder, tlk file in the /tlk folder of your NWN install.
Most of you who have been playing for a while should have these already, but they're there if you need them.
The file is pretty large, so VM, you can delete it after everyone gets the download if it takes up too much of your available space.
Also, TDV3 does not currently have an OnPlayerChat script, so feel free to add your custom script.
