Now that everyone's at least L2, the posting bonus goes up.
+300xp to everyone for full-party posting this week.
I rolled the skill checks but will adjudicate in-game once I confirm the skill modifiers.

Re: X-COM 2 - 2019 Campaign Thread
Daud was impressed with Victor today. He'd stepped into the gang's front door without flinching, and spoke to them without showing fear or anything. Daud was screaming internally, and a little externally, that this was a terrible idea. Not that there seemed to be much choice, but if it had been up to him, they'd have walked away and written this excursion off. Thanks to Victor they might still have a chance at the doctor.
However...
Also thanks to Victor, they were going off script, having jumped from frying pan to fire. Trying to pull a heist in a warehouse they knew pretty much nothing about. They weren't prepared, and Daud was pretty nervous about it. If things went as they usually had so far, they might end up in a fight, and that could draw ADVENT troopers real fast. Part of that happening or not would depend on Daud himself. He would be responsible for reconnaissance. But something like this would normally take days or weeks to do correctly. This is the kind of thing Angela would handle if it was in the script.
Having long range comms would really be nice right about now. Angela could make the call. Advise them. How do you improvise a gun heist?
//Edit: Would it be possible to make a knowledge, streetwise roll to do something like park the car more advantageously for the heist and/or avoiding the hands of the refugees?

Absolutely, just let me know the skill and I'll make the roll. If you don't know your skill modifier I can resolve it in-game.
Re: X-COM 2 - 2019 Campaign Thread
// Unfortunately I don't remember the ranks Daud has in streetwise for certain. Might have been 6 though, I think? If you can wait to call it in game, whatever works.
Re: X-COM 2 - 2019 Campaign Thread
In the passenger seat of the SUV, Victor's 'smoking' an old pencil; thinking, as he usually does. After trying the car's radio fruitlessly, he lets his thoughts escape."Y'all don't have to be silent back there," he says, casually looking over his shoulder. "Anyone thinks this is a dumb idea, we can split now. Give up on this thing, or... I dunno, fill some boxes with pipes an' ambush this gang of hoods. I'm hopin' anyone with a problem'd feel like they can speak-"
He blinks, catching sight of someone walking along the opposite sidewalk."Hey - ain't that Henderson?"

"Of course it's a dumb idea," Jesse mutters from the back seat. "It's just that trying to bash in some ganger skulls is also a bad idea. So we're checking out this other place to figure out which idea's the least dumb."
She blinks and squints as she follows Victor's eye. "And nah, I don't think that's him. Just some old bum, I think. Unless... oh, jeez. Is he waving?'

Missions.
The boss lady wanted the team to get a doctor out of some slums. Apparently he was prisoner of a gang. The team reached the area and got intel from a street urchin. The gang ended up being friendly or so it seemed. A deal was made: Retrieve some discarded weapons in exchange for the doc.
The team left in the car and tried to come up with a plan while driving towards the dot on the map.
"What you guys feel about this? Suicide mission? Do we have time to report or should we just get on with it? If we do I guess we need to go heavy with all bullets and grenades we can spare. Hopefully we will get enough loot to replace what we used."

Stanley sat silently pondering the situation they'd gotten into as the others debated. Finally, he interjected.
If this were an easy task, the gangsters would simply do it themselves and keep the doc. Thus, we may surmise it will be challenging with dangers yet unknown. It stands to reason then that we don't just go rushing in, but see what info might be gathered via inquiries in the neighborhood of the place and visual recon.
//streetwise of 7 to assist in gathering intel from dubious lowlifes hanging around the neighborhood and selecting a decent place to park the car to minimize threats/theft.

"Suicide is, contrary to the song, not painless," Bo muttered, "but can we please remember these are people? I'm not sure if you think you're think in some kind of game but whatever fantasy your amnesia appears to be leading you into these are living, breathing people."
She gestured to the world outside the car. "In another time they could be your neighbour or work colleague or ... well anything. Not some kind of score token. Can we please not try to murder everyone we see ... gah." She growled in irritated frustration.
"Loot? Really? Since when did we become the cast of some cheap gangster movie? Will it be pirates next and we start calling the things we find, the things we need 'booty'?"
"... and for heaven's sake move over so Henderson can get in!"
