"Indeed!" Polytropos nodded, binding up his wounds, grinning in between the grimaces. "This is the house of a god, where a god walked and worked! If the gods felt like stopping us, they could."

The young man stops grinning for a moment and looks up at the strange sky, momentarily unsure.

OOC: Might not make this one either. Last day before going home, everyone wants to do something...

To say there was a hint of sulkiness in Katamarene's posture was to miss the opportunity to say she was flouncier than a ballerina's tutu. She sniffed and tossed her head petulantly. "Perhaps you should fail to listen to them too, or treat them like they don't know anything," she remarked, huffily. "I bet that's why they turn people into gorgons, or swans, or spiders, or make them look at their reflection for ever, because it's really annoying." Tossing her hair for effect again and tilting her chin haughtily she turned and began stalking towards the portal exit. "What does everyone want to do next? Get very hot, or very cold? Oh wait, what do I know?"

Leoniadas was feeling a bit peaked; that electrical trap had come as a shock. He wasn't sure how he missed it; he's have to make haste a bit more slowly it seemed in this place. The walking metal warriors had all gone to fairly quickly under the heroes blades, it was the magical traps that seemed to do the most damage. He wondered what the next portal would take them to.

The strange world of storms had been dangerous but they had recovered the crystal they needed. Telemachus just hoped to himself this was all worth the effort expended in the end.

+450xp for full-party posting.

Sounds like we have a number of maybes today, so I'll fire up the server and see how many we get. We play with 5 and postpone if we get fewer than that.

OOC

Happy New Year everyone!

IC

It was done. They had ventured in strange realms through some magic portals and braved fire and ice to collect crystals. The fire cave was not that bad as it was possible to time the explosions. The ice cave almost killed them all. None of them wanted to freeze to death. As soon as they got the crystal, they had to rush out. Andreas was the fastest, he came out first but even in the temple, the area near the portal was freezing cold. Hoping that the others would make it, he continued to run towards a warmer room. He was barely a foot away from the nearby door when he fell unconscious. He could have frozen to death alone in that room. Seconds passed, minutes perhaps before he regained consciousness. He was so cold. He dragged himself out of the dangerous zone and waited alone next to the nearest fire source. Soon, the ice melted and he started to feel his fingers and toes again. A moment later he heard someone calling his name. By the Gods, they were back.

Damian sat by the fireplace and looked at the end of his dory, twisting it this way and that. He smiled before setting it down and settling into Aias' side. "Though it cost us greatly, I feel that the blessings we received from the Gods will aid us greatly in our trials." He grimaced before continuing, "that's not to say that I wish to endure those trials again, however..." He pulled out his pack and rooted through it for a few moments. "The next town we're in, we need to replenish our healing supplies because we are dangerously low and I cannot keep all of us healthy by my blessings alone."

"Perhaps Aphrodite will look on us favorably for tasks completed on her behalf," Katamarene said quite pointedly, carefully brushing the dirt of battle from her armour by the light of the fire. "It's wise to recognise such when they are presented to us, and not to refuse them. Particularly when the attempt takes nothing from us and only requires a little thoughtfulness."

"As for supplies..." Her brow creased in a delicate frown and she shook her head. "I still have no coin of my own to purchase them with, and nothing we have no use for to trade for them either." She sighed a little. "The gods bless us with the tools to pursue their tasks, perhaps, but as yet do not seem to have thought to provide for our most basic needs. We may have to become more industrious on our own behalf."

((And on OOC happy new year to you all too! :D ))
