Chiun eyed the feast hall warily as they entered. It had a comfortable familiarity for him, though in truth it had been many years since he had been inside a place like this. Not knowing how his newfound companions would conduct themselves, it seemed best to be done with their business quickly.

And non-violently, though with this group, that might be challenging. Still, perhaps the mirror's owner would part with it willingly, if not cheaply.

Ash's usual grin gets even wider as he sees all the food laid out on the tables. Finding an opening he works his way to a table and sits a moment just salivating at all the goodies.

Food. Real food. This place seemed more "real" than any of the places they had visited thus far, but the presence of the ghostly spirits outside, and the fact that the dead residents did not seem to stay dead, made Devram remain wary as they entered the vast feasthall.

Darick looked at the slight man quivering before them and then looked at the others. "So, it would seem we're going through yet another portal. How many does that make this?" He snorted and turned back to the figure. "What can you tell us about this plane we're going to now?"

((Sorry, but I couldn't remember who we're talking to or what the name of the place we're going to. I know the guy who accepted the bets for Ash's fight used to have the mirror, said that it was stolen. I just don't remember his name.))

Ash done quite well fighting he thought, then had to laugh as Ash was chased off the field by half the audience. His attention tuned elsewhere as glanced back at the gatecrasher...(had to leave early, so not sure what happened next.)

Ash had indeed done quite well. What he lacked in discipline, he made up for in willing, if slightly confused, enthusiasm. And size! He would have made a solid addition to any regiment, Chiun thought, if he could be counted on to hold the line without chasing after a wandering butterfly.

Of more concern was the sudden steel the farmer had shown. Maybe he was just treating Linneus as he would an unruly pig. (Not far off the mark, that notion.) But maybe it betrayed a lack of discipline in his own mind...it would bear watching, that one.

Still looking slightly confused Ash puts away his freshly cleaned sword and watches as the others question the man. Losing interest in this Ash scans the crowd. He speaks to the group, "Lots of short people here. Wonder if I can practice with them." He pulls his sword back out and takes a few experimental swings. Frowning he tries the swing again. "Mama taught me a trick to hitting 'em but I don't think I am doing it right.

Toad watched the farmer become very aggressive and although pleased at the resulting whimpering confession of the blithering fop, the sudden change back into the calmer sod buster had been potentially disastrous. She had seen glimpses of this change prior; like two spirits fighting for the same body. It was very concerning but as long as both spirits supported her companions they could fight it out as far as she was concerned. She would definitely keep a wary eye.

"We is gonna chase this mirror into another gates? We best supplies up here. Might not be so lucky in the next places we open.."

She scratched her butt, waddling along with the others.
