Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
The team wandered in a maze for a long time. They often got separated. They tediously tried to find a way deeper or further. Eventually they found a room with a pentagram that was in fact a teleporter. Beyond that was the prison and the lair of the last dreamer.
It was not clear what kind of creature that monster was. Something like a bodak witth magical powers matching those of an archmage. He was able to make copies of himself and cast a lot of Bigby's spell or at least create the same effect as the grasping and crushing hands.
Several team members got seriously injured.

Note that the next mod, "Secrets of Netheril," contains three tileset haks from the Community Tileset Project (CTP): ctp_common, ctp_blk_desert, and ctp_elf_interior.
You can get them here: https://neverwintervault.org/project/nw ... et-project
The final mod in the campaign, "Realms of Madness," also uses the CTP haks ctp_dungeon_lok and ctp_dwarf_hall, so you might as well grab those as well while you are there. RoM also uses Bloodmonkey's Rocky Mountains but I think you should all have that one (in case you need it: https://neverwintervault.org/project/nw ... ountains-1).

"So that be it? That thing be the big, bad evil genius who trapped all o' these souls? Now don't get me wrong, I be glad everybody be waking up, but still." Toric shook his head. "Still wonderin' why 'e'd trapped 'em all. And that girl? 'ho was she? 'E seemed awfully concerned when she was freed."

It was hard to believe they were back home. Hard to believe lots of things, really. But then, that was precisely how it should be.
There was something different about Nihmri, a strange glint in her eye and a serene edge to her smile. It was more than just relief; more than the simple joy of being home again. She was whole in a way that she had not been before.
When she finally turned to her fellow acolytes, though, she could not help but give them an awkward grin. "Well, then," she said, almost apologetically. "I'm guessing you guys have questions."
((I'm afraid I'll probably have to leave early tomorrow. Have an appointment that will probably involve lots of hurrying up and waiting.))

"He gained power in some manner by their imprisonment, and freeing them evidently weakened him enough for us to defeat him." Amathain said, before turning to Nihmri. "I would like to know precisely where you went and what just happened, yes.."

Exhausted and relieved to be home, Suula spends a fair amount of time sleeping and seeing to mundane things - repairing her robes, reapplying the dye to her hair - but it's not long before some quarrel with her sister sparks off some thought in her head, and she starts delving back into what tomes the Temple of All Faiths have on Beshaban worship, and badgering the Prelate about being able to hold actual ceremonies, even private ones.
Still, she's in earshot a few days later, when Nihmri finally raises the query of what she was doing all this time... and she jumps on it enthusiastically. "I second that! You haven't been playing straight with us, Nim. And frankly, I appreciate that. Well done. But now it's too obvious. Spill it."

Slade was out of arrows and had to borrow a sword and shield from others to be of any use at all. He actually wasn't that bad in melee, but he was happier using a bow. The final enemy guarding a large cell block had been tough, especially when he made 7 copies of himself. The party had managed to hack them all down, but the original was a challenge. Then someone started opening cell doors and releasing all of his prisoners and his power drained away. He went down fairly quickly after that. Then, they were back at the temple and out of the dreams. Slade was relieved and looked forward to a bit of rest and relaxation. Though, he wondered what sort of mission the group would be tasked for next.

Shanni had been quite happy to return to the Temple of All Faiths, cleaning and repairing her gear thoroughly and resting both body and soul, but once they had been still a few days she seemed to begin to get itchy feet.
The occasional niggles with Suula became more common, she seemed to be more interested in preparing her equipment in readiness, and she too began to make use of the library or spend many an hour in the chapel to her Lady - alone or in the company of the priest. Though what she found or what was discussed caused many a pensive expression, brushing off any attempt to find out why.
Meals were skipped, and sometimes her bed went unused, though she always brushed off any jibes from Suula about time spent 'in communion' with the local priest dismissively. Eventually it became harder and harder to find out where she was, even when needed.
((I may miss the session altogether, or at least be late. A busy weekend with demands on my time I can't change, but I should be able to get the server up without difficulty.))
