September 1 session (pre-Council meeting); Now Sept. 15

Post by Carlo » Tue Aug 20, 2013 1:41 am

The next session will occur on September 1. The party has finished its afternoon activities and the evening meal in the Clan Ironhelm halls. In the guest quarters, they have some time to prepare for the dwarven Council meeting, which is expected to start within the hour.

Collectively you have managed to glean the following general information about Ironhelm Council meetings:

-- The Prince presides, but does not always directly intervene in debates.

-- Any clan member may attend, but only nobles or those specifically invited to speak may do so.

-- All discussion must be relevant in some way to the declared topic for the Council session.

-- You understand that it is very rare for outsiders to participate and this has not happened for at least a number of years.

-- There is a heavy guard presence in case discussions get out of hand, although it is normally not actually needed.

I will be out with my inlaws before the session, I will try to make it back within a half hour of the session start. Basically, I don't know if I'll be on time or not but I do plan to play. Sorry!

Edit: Evidently I forgot what day it was- the above message was for the Aug 25th game. As of the moment I should be on time and OK for that session.

So I'm not going to be able to make it Sunday Sept 1st either. My wife had planned some things for our anniversary, so unfortunately, Darrow will be out :(

It's your anniversary? Well, congratulations! Let us know a bit earlier next time, as we wouldn't expect you to miss that. ;)

I'm going to push this back to the 8th, since I think everyone is ready to head for the Council at this point; we'll be picking up the action in-game about a half-hour before it's scheduled.

I'm really looking forward to this council meeting for some odd reason. See you all on the 8th. Best wishes on your anniversary, Ken.

I really wanted to make this one, but I've had some sort of food poisoning these past few days and I feel like crud. I was hoping it'd have passed by now but I need to crawl into bed and shiver a lot, I don't think I'll be able to manage this one.

Really sorry, folks. I hope it goes ahead.

Consensus was to postpone it one more week, in the hopes of a full party.

Since this has been a long time coming, unless something truly disastrous happens, we'll plan to go ahead with the Council meeting session next week, even if someone can't make it.
