Site updated to allow NWN2: Storm of Zehir input

Storm of Zehir, the second expansion for Neverwinter Nights 2, has been released in North America (although it is not in all stores yet). Accordingly, this site has been updated to allow users to choose Storm of Zehir (SoZ) as one of the products they own. If you are listing a campaign, you can also list Storm of Zehir as one of the expansions required, if that is the case.

NWN2: Storm of Zehir goes gold

Neverwinter Vault is reporting that Storm of Zehir, the second expansion for Neverwinter Nights 2, has gone gold, and will be released on November 18. It will be interesting to see what features will work well with campaign play. For example, the expansion allows builders to create and make use of an "Overland Map" to simulate traveling over large areas. Characters can "use skills like Spot and Survival while on the Overland Map to avoid ambushes and even find hidden locales and lost artifacts."

The DMFI - campaign essentials

DMFI

Some of the most essential assets in running multiplayer campaigns in both NWN and NWN2 come from the DMFI team. What is the DMFI? Carlo from the DMFI team has been nice enough to answer that for us. In Carlo's words:

The DM-Friendly Initiative (DMFI) is devoted to promoting DM-led gaming in Neverwinter Nights (NWN) and its successor Neverwinter Nights 2 (NWN2). Its mission is to:

* Develop DM tools such as the DMFI Wands & Widgets for NWN and the DMFI Tools for NWN2.

* Support DM training. Download DMFI 101:So You Want To Be A DM or DM 101 for NWN2 and participate in DMFI forum discussions on DMing.

* Encourage DM-friendly module design by reviewing and certifying both NWN modules and NWN2 modules on Neverwinter Vault.

* Share resources via the DMFI website.

The DMFI is pleased to support the NWN Campaigns site. Look for related posts in the Tools, tips, tutorials, and training Forum, and other forums.

Thanks Carlo!
