Campaign Spotlight: Heartstone Saga

Heartstone Saga

We have another Campaign Spotlight to present. This Spotlight takes a look at the Heartstone Saga, by Greywolf McGrowler. The Heartstone Saga is a NWN campaign set in the Forgotten Realms, and features an epic story arc. The origins of the campaign are particularly interesting, reaching back to a multi-server Everquest project involving several guilds. Read on for the full interview, which includes information on how to find the campaign. The campaign does currently have an opening for one more player.

Campaign Spotlight: Heartstone Saga

Heartstone Saga

Thanks to Greywolf McGrowler for answering questions about the campaign!

What is the inspiration for the development of your campaign?

That kinda requires a long answer, but it all started about 10 years ago when Everquest first came out. There was a group of people of about 12 or so that wanted to start some player made quests that were made by players for the players. The project was called the Heartstone Saga. We had our own website and a few sponsors that backed the project. It involved at least a few guilds, spanned a few servers, and included lots of stories and quests that were put together by those that were involved in the Heartstone project.

Campaign Spotlight: Urk's Greyhawk

Urk's Greyhawk

We're pleased to feature our very first Campaign Spotlight. A Campaign Spotlight is a feature we hope to post on a fairly regular basis, and entails an in-depth look at a NWN or NWN2 campaign. The idea is to "show off" a NWN or NWN2 campaign, not only to give some campaigns a bit of exposure, but also to highlight just how fun campaign play can be.

The debut spotlight takes a look at Urk's Greyhawk, a NWN campaign set in the Greyhawk campaign setting, which is a setting with which long-time D&D players will be familiar. Urk is an "old-timer" with some great insights on NWN, modding, and campaign play, and the interview makes for a very interesting read. And did I mention that there are currently a few openings in the campaign? Read on for the interview, which includes information on how to find his games.
