You've been commissioned to visit the ruins of a nearby town and collect some lost books for a local wizard. Some party members have talked of seeing what other treasures might yet be found in the abandoned site. An initial foray has already been made with less than satifactory results.

Youve been commissioned to visit the ruins of a nearby town and collect some lost books for a local wizard. The party is resting up in a nearby Dwarven mines after skirting the eastern rim of the ruins while battling assorted nasties, discovering a lost horde of valuable metals and rescuing a bard from clutches of giant spiders

Having successfully retrieved a number of books and tomes from the ruins of the old book shop in White Cliff, the party has been offered several options for further work by their satisfied employer. The party has been given a day or two to think over their course of action.

On delivery of several tomes for restoration to the Keeper of the Temple Arcana, the party has been offered a magical trip to Farun - a distant continent - to obtain some rare resin needed to repair one of the books in questions. Also questions about the recent goblin ambush need to be answered. What will our heroes get themselves into next?

After arriving in Farun, our heroes contacted the merchant Musaba and have made arrangements to collect the needed resin. With a few days to kill, they decide to explore the ruins of a nearby city located in middle of the desert. In an initial foray, the party attacks a gnoll warparty and get rather mauled in the process of destroying, so retire back to town. The following day, they retrace their steps, bypassing some giant ants scavenging the carcasses of the gnolls. The party has searched and cleared the ruins, tangling with a few snakes and spiders. They have found a stone door buried beneath the sand and are pondering the next step in their adventure.

Venturing down into a long lost the crypt, our heroes battle swarms of snakes a maze of traps and guardian gargoyles as they explore one branch of the tombs. Success comes at a price though, the Ork warrior is reduced to ashes by traps and the priests just manage to revive the badly burned hobbit. Licking their wounds and dragging their newly found loot, the party retreats back to the village to regroup.

Reinforced by several new recruits, our heroes ventured once more beneath the ruins of the lost desert city. Tunneling thru a walled off section of the crypts they carved their way thru hordes of rabid rats and fierce snakes only to be ambushed by Yaun-Ti and get rather singed. The intrepid head priest worked wonders though and now the party is catching their breath and cursing under it at the same time as they mull their next step.

Our brave heroes have rescued a survivor of the doomed caravan from the Yang-Ti lair and now ponder what the morrow may bring as they huddle round a small campfire in the ruins of the desert city.

The party has once more reunited in the Sand Viper Inn in Shemtis with Abdul ibn Salaam safetly delivered and Musaba informed about the loss of the resin. As theres a chance its still in gnoll hands, the heroes have been urged to seek out the gnolls lair and recover the resin by any means necessary.
