It's vastly better than the OC or MotB for MP. There is no "PC is the center of the universe" plot line to mess it up for the other PCs.
In fact, this is the closest to tabletop D&D that this series has come. The more I play it, the better I like it. It's not perfect, of course, but it's well worth the $30.
The conversations and the overland map can be hijacked by any player in an MP game. My brother and I agreed that he, as party leader, would run the overland map and the conversations, unless a Diplomacy option was available. As I had a high Diplomacy paladin, I would take over the convos when that skill was used. Sounds complicated, but in practice it was simple and served to keep us both paying attention. It might get a bit dodgy if you had 5 or 6 players unless everyone was in agreement about who is in charge of what.
