Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread

Toric winked at Ama. "Considerin' the target of me speech, 'twas encouragin." He grinned and patted Pius on the back. "Aye, lad. 'Tis a great great sword. If'n ye can, I'd suggest ye ask fer protection 'gainst our enemies instead*."

"Yes, yes, I'm sure she'll be fine," Nihmri said, waving away all evidence to the contrary. "Favour of the gods and all of that. If any one of should be lucky enough to simply stumble upon precisely the place we were looking for mere seconds after walking through the portal and spending the last few hours having tea and biscuits with a delightful old hermit, then surely it would be Shanni."

"You don't get it, do you? No-one's just 'lucky'." Suula waved her arms around a bit, flustered. "The coin is always spinning! Up, down, back and forth, left and right, paper and rock, scissors and - wait - no, heads or tails - it's always spinning, is my point. No-one has good luck forever. It always comes around."
She rubbed her forehead. "And that silly strumpet thinks otherwise. She just keeps smiling all the time, but one day it'll be knocked off her face. It could be today."

It was dark. One minute they had been there and the next they were gone.
Or rather she was gone? Caught in some kind of a magical vortex and deposited here, wherever here was. Were they all together or had they all been split up? Were each of them wandering the place alone right now trying to find one another?
Still, everything happens for a reason. There was some point to this having happened, to her being here like this. There always was, she knew it in her heart of hearts. There was absolutely no point in feeling grumpy about it, as that wasn't going to change a thing. She was here now and she just had to make the most of it and hope for the best. Shanni's thoughts flipped quickly as anxiety for her sister cut in briefly, but she pushed the nagging back down.
"The Lady ... ladies, help those who help themselves," she murmured softly to herself and casting a light spell she looked around.

+600xp for Toric, Pius, Nimhri, Suula, Shanni, and Amathain for IC posting this week.
EDIT: make that 600, since everyone is at least 6th level.

Hey all, since VM has a holiday thing and Mirgalen is moving I think we'll just take a week off for Christmas. See you in 2016!
Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
((A merry Xmas to you all should you celebrate it, even in my personally heathen form, and a happy New Year. *hug* ))

Slade decided he didn't like mazes, especially those with traps tied to ones philosophy of life. He also decided that in the future he would not follow this Pius fellow so blindly, as he seemed to be a bit more reckless than the others. Well at least he'd managed to survive the traps triggered so far....

"Yes Toric, I am ready to cast a protection spell as they are other mind tricks beyond fear that may affect us. In fact, if you can raise a circle or globe of protection it would be even better..."
The group ventured into a rather nasty maze. A pillar indicated that they were three paths to follow, the virtuous path, nature's path and the darker path.
One may think of three doors, one for each path but it was not the case, in fact the maze was made of a number of rooms linked by corridors. Only people of the right character or personality could enter a specific room without triggering some kind of trap.
Metal doors were probably not significants.
Metal bars seemed to indicate "virtuous rooms", "the virtuous will see through..."
Wooden doors were placed for natures' rooms. These rooms often had trees or plants inside.
Stone doors with patches of dry blood were warnings for "Dark Rooms".
Everybody got confused at first and Pius was not the least of them but eventually they got the idea...
//
Moving House: I have managed to sort out stuff for now.
If we decide to play this week-end (Boxing Day). I will be at the old house.
The following week-end if we don't have internet at home I will be in my office.
I do not expect any trouble beyond that.
