Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread

The party fought their way thru Xorns and a few tough golems to finally face The Mechanic. It was a hard fight, but he went down under the blades and arrows of the team. After recovering the ether ore, they returned to Sigil where some special armor was woven which would allow them to enter the realm of dreams with a degree of protection. Slade was a bit disappointed he didn't have time to explore much of Sigil's many markets, but did find a ring to protect him from poison that might prove useful. Then it was back to the temple to prepare for the sleep that would take them into the realm of dreams. Slade hoped it wouldn't turn into a nightmare.

"So be it."
They had escaped the maze, defeated strange creatures and golem and a got what they were looking for. As they completed their trip to Sigil they teleported back to the temple. Althor was relieved that he did not get recaptured or killed while in the city of doors. Perhaps his presence was not detected.
Other than a new armour offering no better protection, Althor was still using pretty much the same equipment. They did find some trinkets here and there but there was little if anything that could help a marksman. He still had to rely on blood magic to enchant his arrows and make them more effective. As they were about to visit a dreamworld or dream plane, Althor grabbed as many arrows as he could carry. He feared that he would have little opportunities to get more arrows where they were going next...

Toric raised an eyebrow and plucked at his suit of "dream" armor. "So ye mean ta tell me we gotta wear pajamas ta bed just so we'll 'ave somethin' in this dream world? Good Gods above, I ain't sure if'n I'm already havin' a nightmare." He sighed and settled himself onto one of the cots. "I hope Suula shows up fully clothed, else wise it really will be a nightmare!" He grins and winks at Suula before falling asleep, his snoring filling the room.

"I think everyone is hoping Toric shows up fully clothed," Shanni murmured to her sister, low enough so only the closest could hear. "Of a list of things I hope travel with us into the dream I armour is pretty high on my list. Not least because if not we'll need a lot more of these." She gestured to the healing supplies as she finished pushing the last of into her pack.
"Could really hope we see ourselves as being as we usually are, in fact," she addes, "as this stuff feels too light to stop much of a blow." Leaning her head back, and grinned quietly to herself. "Though if the armour turns up just a few feet away for some that's acceptable."

We'll be able to experiment with our limits and capabilities once we make it to the world of dreams, I suppose. Hopefully we'll all arrive at the same place. How do we intend to fall asleep simultaneously?

Suula sniffs, and looks unhappily at Toric. It takes her a while to speak, her voice sullen - seemingly exhausted by the snark leading to this moment. "I'm not nightmarish, you oaf." She hugs her knees. "And maybe if I was told that more often then maybe - maybe - oh forget it. That actually kind of hurt. Leave me alone."
She looks to Amathain and sighs. "I don't know. Maybe the Prelate can... do some hypnosis or something... I don't to be pushy about this, but can you please defend my honour? Or something? I know we banter but... " She waves an arm at Toric, before pausing, reflective. "Am I going to go into your dreams and... see that none of you like me, is that where this is going? 'Cos... aw forget it. I don't care." She settles down on the pallet, facing the wall.

"Don't be silly, Suula," Nihmri said, lounging on her bedroll in as casual a manner as she knew how. "I mean, you do have a point there, but it's probably way more likely that we just learn a bunch of hilariously embarrassing things about each other. Or... well. This is the world of dreams we're talking about, and all. We might see parts of each other we never expected to. Or we might see a bunch of lies and nonsense, spun into being to confuse and divide us. We still don't really know what we're up against here, how clever it can be."
She hummed thoughtfully, then shrugged and shot her friends a grin. "Either way, it should be real interesting."

Re: Devotion Campaign Planning and Discussion Thread
Althor found himself in the dreamworld next to Nihmri. The others were apparently elsewhere. There was a village nearby. They both moved towards the only opened gate. A person was standing in front of a door. Before any word could be exchanged, she turned into a gigantic spider and attacked. Althor and Nihmri had to run. After a while, Althor found himself alone. He managed to sneak into the village and found Nihmri chased by two demons. He entered a few houses looking for the others in vain. He rejoined Nihmri who had found a wand but before they could take any action the demons showed up again and attacked. Luckily Amathain and the others appeared and defeated the creatures. A couple of times, Althor used his great sword seeing that his arrows were useless. Combining several wands they changed the scenery. First, they appeared in a snowy village with demon like creatures they could not defeat and second they found themselves in a large prison with crystal golems as guardians. That part was easier, Althor used his explosives arrows to blow up the door not before triggering a trap. They defeated the golem and freed a prisoner who proved to be knowledgeable...
